aidan wrote:Hi guys, need advice on buying the pressure washer. I called Khanico, they only have electric pressure washers right now. So my options comes down to:

Pricesmart: Powerstroke 2700 PSI (Honda motor)- $2800 http://www.powerstroketools.com/product_pressure_washer_PS80943_2700_PSI_pressure_washer.php

Ft. Farfan: Mi-T-M 2400 PSI (Briggs and stratton motor) - $3898.50 (6 month warranty)
Mi-T-M 2600 PSI (Mi-T-M motor) - $3898.50 (6 month warranty)

I never heard of the Mi-T-M brand, but after looking them up they seem to be a great company. How can I justify the extra 1k for the Ft. Farfan models over the powerstroke.
They also had a Mi-T-M washer rated at 2800psi using the same Honda motor (GCV 160) as the pricesmart machine, but was for $4300.
I need something very soon, any input will be appreciated.

Guys, any input here? Gonna be buying one Saturday or Monday!

the engine is not the important part of a pressure washer,
the pump and unloader valve is the most important part

Looking for a grease gun to lube ball joints, tie rod ends, etc with zerk fittings. Is it better to buy locally or online? Which brands are recommended & which to stay away from? And what's the avg price?

Was checking out some synthetic grease on Amazon & this was paired with it:
http://www.amazon.com/Lumax-LX-1152-Del ... 000MD4YKM/

Check this one too:
http://www.amazon.com/Lincoln-Lubricati ... B0002KKTFO

What y'all think?

^^ ive used them before and they good for very light applications... for your job I would prefer use a 1/8 or 1/4"

The screw gun would wok but its slow IMO

Got one of these, Klein MM200 auto ranging $36USD. My first meter with a backlit display :). It's built by UEi. They make professional HVAC tools.

Added a case $9 USD

Got two of these for the wifey so she won't forget to unplug her various hair heating irons. They auto shut off after 30-120 min. Had to turn back from half the highway already to check so i get fed up...

Belkin Conserve outlet $10 USD

Image

On the way, Cobra 800W inverter in case of another blackout.

Cobra CPI 880 $41 USD

Might actually be easier to weld rhs with that than with arc. Just remember the cheaper units have a very small duty cycle, like 10% and less.

If you can get a high fill rod like a 3/32 US Forge 7014, it makes life a lot easier with rhs and an arc welder.

I have filled 1/4 inch spaces in 2 passes with that rod, really good stuff.

Guess I'll try that type of rod before buying a mig.
