Frankly thought that Pakistan would have made much more than their eventual 308.
WI have a chance although they remain the only Test playing country to never successfully chase a 300+ score in an ODI. (even Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Ireland[Ireland did it thrice against WI, England and Netherlands btw] have chased 300+ scores)

Meanwhile Australia after having been pounded by SA in the first two matches made 371.

Its a 2nd string (maybe 3rd string) bowling line up Australia gone to SA with. Have you ever heard about Tremain, Worral and Head before this series??
Hastings and Zampa have been around for the past few years but still not automatic first team picks when Starc, Hazlewood, Coulter Nile and Faulkner around. Maybe the 1st team would have done better, maybe not-we would never know.

Agree with you on the 3rd string attack...I watched that game and worral and Tremain are not penetrative bowlers...hastings kinda shaky if u ask me

The Aussie tried out thier second tier bowlers and it hasn't worked.
One of the criticisms levelled at Australia in recent times has been that they have acknowledged that there is a gulf between the first team and the rest of players in the Sheffield Shield. Gone are the times when high class players like Hussey, Langer, Hayden, Law, Hodge are toiling in the first class competition because of competition in the first team.

I think WI unique in that our main team and second string team as equally inept.

He has had an impressive Ranji Trophy season averaging 60s or something and making a t half century each time he batted except in one match.

Bangladesh has come a long way in terms of ODI competitiveness.
Fully deserve a place in the Champions Trophy ahead of WI.

Two good matches today
SA vs Australia 193/3 after 33 overs despite being 52/3 in over 10
Ban vs England England chasing 277 batting 85/1 after 15 overs.

Good to see what ODIs supposed to be after the WI debacle.

West Indies bowlers up against it against Pakistan in the 1st Test (it's a Day/Night Test). Currently Pakistan 133/0 after 44 overs
