That's what I have been saying its the business sector more specifically small business that has been setting a horrible example and by extension encouraging the bad behaviour. Chinese restaurants with signs no mask no entry, lookminside 1 in 10 patrons may have a mask as they await their take away order.

Taxis picking up and transporting individuals without mask or improperly wearing them.

Grocery have wash when you enter, sanitizing etc but inside you seing staff management staff not wearing mask or wearing improperly. ( patrons taking off their mask or pulling it down as they await to cash etc.

If business had a zero tolerance as they should have during and after the ease up if restrictions a lot of these behavioural problems would have had time to be corrected to some degree.

TD now announced that this was an oversight and will be amended. So schools' reopening are not pushed back to the 30th.

How come they gave the names of businesses that people went to but haven't said what social events some of the spread may have taken place?

Surely it would be a good idea to name the bars etc and the date/time that +ve persons were present so that everyone who may have been exposed can come in to get tested?

Key Points From The Ministry Of Health’s Virtual Media Conference on COVID-19 – Monday August 3rd 2020:

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh confirmed there will be a virtual meeting with regional/international stakeholders on Wednesday 5th August 2020 to discuss the financing and policy allocations for vaccines, as well as therapeutics and diagnostics to treat with COVID-19.

Minister Deyalsingh called for cooperation from the public in assisting officials in their contact tracing efforts. He said people play an important role in contact tracing and this is why they must be truthful when health officials ask for information. This will help reduce transmission and control the spread of COVID-19 in the population. People can be assured that patient confidentiality is top priority and contact tracers are trained.

Technical Director, Epidemiology Division at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Avery Hinds, noted from the data on contact tracing that recent cases of transmission occurred in people who shared households, workplaces, social spaces (bars etc) and schools (from adults who passed on to their children who then went to school). He urged adults to be responsible. Some cases that were pending epidemiological investigation were in fact linked to social gatherings.

As much as nine schools have been closed as a result of links to COVID-19 in the school population (adults testing Positive/minors who are SEA students testing Positive).

Currently, there are 39 people are hospitalised for COVID-19.
CAURA: 35
COUVA: 4

Currently, there are 106 persons quarantined at various facilities in T&T. The following is the breakdown:
ARIMA GENERAL HOSPITAL: 2
CASCADIA: 18
CAURA: 4 (Adults linked to children)
COUVA: 1
CHANCELLOR HOTEL: 12
HOME OF FOOTBALL: 13
NAPA: 10
REGENT STAR: 45
UWI DEBE CAMPUS: 1

In addition, 102 persons affiliated with the CPL are quarantined at the Hilton Hotel and swabbing is underway. 67 additional persons expected to come in later today.

10,577 Community Tests (combined) have been conducted in public and private labs.

There have been no COVID-19 deaths recorded outside the public health system. CMO Dr. Roshan Parasram said personnel at the Forensic Science Centre continue to swab bodies that come into the Centre to ensure COVID-19 was not the cause of death.

Has the government ever publicly stated that Blacks are genetically more likely to die from Covid-19?

Of course not, vote PNM first then die.

You now understand what I have been trying to educate people about.

Look at this diagram and see what they did almost 3/4 way down. Dropped it in just like that. Plays straight into the argument about genetic inferiority.

From the Wall Street Journal no less. But they are also part of the agenda.

And I must believe everything these blasted Americans and Europeans tell me about who is more likely to die from every major sickness.

Miss me with that s*it.

it's not about genetic inferiority- they are just saying blacks are at more high risk- would you say that males are inferior cuz that is another category they mentioned.

I also have a facebook friend working in a NY hospital who confirms that they were seeing mostly black americans with severe illness from covid.

Black, people have higher rates of heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes and skin cancer just to name a few. Also that survey was out of the UK.

^they also have high rates of Vit. D deficiency due to darker skin taking longer to produce Vitamin D from sunlight. Vitamin D is needed to fight off infections.

You have fallen for the propaganda.

No one will ever convince me, in this lifetime, that "blacks" are medically and genetically inferior to everyone else.

Never happen.

Think about it. Who does these studies? Who funds these studies? What is the overall agenda? Why does one group ALWAYS come out looking genetically / medically inferior to everyone else?

Remember when they suddenly started asking questions about the Covid rate for "blacks" when Italy was at the height of Covid deaths and infections?

Suddenly, the narrative changed. Do not get tied up.

Wake up and smell the coffee people.
