If you're up north side, Reds luv it and you could possibly land a mutton snapper.

I agree, any time. I fish in all the moon phases and was real salt, and other occasions caught fish. Is just that some phases the fish does bite real light so they don't get hook properly and tend to get off before they come to the boat.

live squid? can't go wrong, pin him through the mantle on a live bait hook and send him back down.

Fish anytime is true, d worst day of fishing still better than d best day u could hv at work.

But for certain places better catches occur around full and new moon periods due to more current and higher water also.

They are a bit frozen now but I'm taking a few with me tomorrow off from the creek, going to Hughes rock to see what's there, might rig one on a spoon and troll it too. Next week I'll have a penn squall setup a friend is bringing me from Houston ( sorry Mankees ack demo day sales can't be beat for price so no shimano terez rod for me, penn squall 50vsw and a penn international 50-100lb roller guide rod and 1000 yards 120lb braid ). Will put a bonito skeleton on a big shark hook out by the red bouy and see if I can get that shark again when I get it. Will need a lot of wire leader tho.

You know we could have made it to 5 islands, just 1/2 a mile more in the other direction.
