I see wasa promoting this on their FB page and boy I get so vex seeing this. 2025 in this part of the world to be collecting rain water and to add insult to injury it's the people you're paying for water telling us this nonsense

Yall angry for nothing. They're encouraging rainwater collection for use in your yard and garden during the dry season, nothing new or earth-shattering in that, I was surprised when one good afternoon shower fills a tank.

I understand what you’re saying, one property bill is $432 per year and the other is $1200 for the year. The water rates we pay aren’t enough for wasa’s expenses. I’ve seen areas that went from 40 households to 200 households without any change in infrastructure, hence the lack of water pressure for many. It comes down to not having a reliable water supply and just accept it? No, we need to adapt and have things in place to make our lives easier.

Essentially you paying for something you aren't getting full service for and the resolution to that is simply accept such?

Many times including in my own home I hear people saying they're glad that 'it have water in the pipe ' and immediately get to washing, cleaning, watering plants etc.
It kinda rubs me the wrong away. It's like watching these movies showing a primitive tribe waiting on the monsoon season and nearing to such a lil kid will suddenly look up at the sky and see the first drops of rain. Runs back to the village to tell everyone and everyone gets all excited and start gathering collection vessels.
Wasa has us doing a modern version of that in 2025 in the western world and now taking about collecting rainwater. Saw it done in the 80s and drank rainwater many times to, we supposed to be long past that

Shortage or not....we should not be wasting water.
Pass blame for not managing the resources and repair program and dredging and finding new courses and sources to tap into but why waste water?

Nah...I paid my bill in Jan via the portal Screenshot_20250209-070229.jpg

Every time I try paying...

Online portal working for me. Paid my bill a few days ago

https://customerportal.wasa.gov.tt/Login.aspx

I get that error occasionally when I tried using one of my debit cards. No problems with my credit card.

Apparently when you have a credit balance, it's not allowing you to make payments any more... So says the csr
I was able to pay with a credit balance ... But that was in person with cash.

anybody know who to call in wasa to get pressure on a street increased?
right now the entire street gets water at a very low pressure yet. adjacent streets have very high pressure
called the 800 number to no avail
