Sounds about right.. I paid $200tt for my UV filter, and about $400 for the polarizer filter. That was at David's Film View.

My latest...

First shot with the Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD lens that I got today this is in Macro mode and Yes I know it's noisy I was fooling around with settings before and forgot and left the ISO on 1600.

good shots guys.

I want more zoom :( I waiting on reviews of Sigma's new 150-500 OS lens

hold these...cropped in and resized and lost plenty quality and detail on the way. I also need to start walking with my tripod or see about getting a monopod.

.:PROZAC:..,

first pic was
1/500s
f/6.3 (widest f-stop @ full-zoom)
ISO 200

BTW, those are the first set of nature shots off my new XSI
shot with Sigma 18-200 OS lens.

Second pic was
1/500s
f/5.6
ISO 800 (hence grainy looking)
(why? because i have problems holding my hand steady at almost full zoom, even with the OS on, plus it was an object in motion and the other shots with lower ISO were too dark and longer exposure made the subject blurry. Would like to do the shot over with a tripod)

3rd pic:
1/500s
f/6.3
ISO 400

Maserati, I do believe it's a Snakebird. I've seen it in the Wild Fowl Trust already. He may have hopped across the trees, and was sitting there from the time i arrived to the time i left, about 3mins.

^flickr keeps the metadata and you can view it there, but that is blocked here at work. I'm trying to upload a couple more shots of the snakebird, but it keeps timing out on imageshack too :(
