The driver of the car made a right hand turn from the left-side curb instead of pulling to the right side of the lane.

I could not see that the car driver had clearly indicated his intent to turn or pull into traffic by lamp or hand signal.

The motorcycle rider appeared to be traveling at excessive speed.

I didn't mention the indicator as... the bike man may have been speeding and he wasn't supposed to overtake at a junction on that kind of roadway... but it would be interesting to see who would be deemed in the wrong... the driver who failed to signal or proceed with due care... or the bike man who may have been speeding (difficult to prove without a speed gun or skid marks ylu can hire an expert at interpreting vehicls speeds from video but i would believe that that is an incomplete science with several counter arguements) and overtaked near a junction... giving how is a police man i feel he will come out on top

I thought the solid white line meant no overtaking. So if this rule applies in TT the motorcyclist would be deemed at fault.

This is the exact spot of the accident in the picture. I know there well as I used to have to walk that road everyday for a few months. It's going north toward the Bus Route. The Macoya Health Center is to the left into that road where the sign says "Tunapuna Health Center." How the bike reach there? How he crashed into driver side of the car heading North along Macoya Road? (it was not!)

So i think the car was coming out of the Health Center road, and the bike hit the car on the driver's side. Bike would have had right of way along Macoya Road. Car broke the stop line. The force of the impact spin the car to face north now as in the picture. Car driver's fault for not yielding.

Needs more CSI Tuner 8-) !!!

The car was standing at the curb. A different black car passed, and turned right while straddling the center as a consequence of the car at the curb. The car then moved forward about 15 feet along the curb and proceeded to make a right turn from the curb lane.

While the car was at an angle moving from the curb to the center line, the motorcycle can then be seen attempting to avoid by swinging right.

Because you cannot see the motorcycle in the frame you can conclude excessive speed.

A well-trained rider would likely slow and avoid by swinging toward the curb and not into the oncoming lane.

Both made errors in my opinion. Now the question is simply what percentage of shared culpability there will be.

Passed away.

He was (allegedly) not authorized to be on the bus route but nothing will come from this.

^^ That is only for when you kill a big pappy child.

Those charges (vehicular manslaughter) are few and far between but are used when there is enough publicity or the victim is a minor or has minor children.

Vehicular manslaughter is not a charge in our laws. We have causing death by dangerous driving. From the video smallie just run into the road without checking, the childrens act caters for parental negligence so they may be as culpable of the driver.

Thing look like it crash land from orbit. Nobody could survive that. How could a vehicle achieve that kind of speed in a residential area main road to end up like that?
