^^Do you still use your T2i (or whatever it may be) now you have the Full Frame? Do you think there is any advantage with the Rebel...

reason I ask is that I will be upgrading my camera body hopefully later this year and was leaning towards another cropped sensor due to weight and extra bit of 'zoom' as I tend to shoot wildlife which tends to be a bit far away.

For casual use or if I needed zoom I use the t2i. For landscape, portraits or if I just take a photowalk I use my 5D. I find the photos have much better detail and colour with the 5D. However it does seems to have less of a editing spectrum compared to the t2i.
BTW the 5D at f1.4 is insane! Bokeh is amazing and the DOF is razor thin.
However if you are shooting wildlife, go crop, full frame won't make that much of a difference with these newer tech crop sensors.

^^Thankd for the info,it could have spend half a day reading trying to get a simple answer. Looking at the 70D at the moment but may 'borrow' a 5d for a few weeks to see the difference.

I heard the 70d sensor is awesome. I don't think I'll be buying any new bodies anytime soon. Ill try to buy more lenses. Have my eye on the sigma 70-200f 2.8 ;)

Does anyone need a photographer?

Postby Michael Knight... » August 31st, 2014, 10:57 am

So I'm looking to get a little more experience in the field by collaborating with someone who is more experienced. I've already started doing a wedding here and there and other events but I will need greater exposure. I shoot with a Nikon D3200 using the stock 18-55mm lens currently.

Right now I welcome the work, and pay of course :) Here are a few samples of my work so far. feel free to critique, open to positive and negative comments on the photos.

Its probably better you post/ask in 'Photo' thread as you at least will be speaking to the right people rather that anyone wanting to just increase their insignificant post count.

Also 18-55 though not a bad lens for everyday stuff, it may be better get a more task specific lens that will help the other party out..eg if they are shooting at 50mm in a wedding, can you supply shots at 200mm that they could not otherwise to without changing a lens/camera and running 14 feet away to do? Thats just an example, there are endless things you can do to get experience and anyone interested in photography is sure to lend a hand.

And dont expect to be paid unless you do actually help...think of yourself as an apprentice rather than an assistant.
