Riots in China over the iPhone 4S; Apple decides to cease all iPhone sales in China

it will be locked to bmobile but if you're a bmobile user then the phone will work just like a factory unlocked phone for you. You won't have to jailbreak and/or unlock it unless you want to use a Digicel sim and you can update it as soon as Apple issues updates

LAST Friday, telecommunications provider LIME launched the iPhone 4S in the Jamaica and its other regional markets.
The Apple gagdet, which was launched worldwide in October 2011, comes to the island with almost all the features expected except for geo-locational function, which is not ready for the Caribbean.
"We at LIME are proud to bring Jamaica the latest and best technology as soon as it is available," said Garry Sinclair, LIME's managing director for Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
At the launch, Stephen Pryce, regional manager for special projects, said that it was "time for Jamaica to move over to the smarter, faster network".
The iPhone 4S, as explained by LIME CEO David Shaw in a press release, will again change the way people communicate.
"This is another first from LIME. Bringing world-class technology is our way of building communities and families in the Caribbean. The iPhone 4S is best in class, innovative and the ultimate 'every-thing device' that will change the way we access and share information."
With intelligent assistant SIRI, which sends text messages by voice command, the smartphone also shoots lifelike photographs and video footage that is editable on the phone.
Packed with incredible new features, including Apple's dual-core A5 chip for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics, the iPhone 4S will be available in three models -- the 16GB, the 32GB and the 64GB.
Other features of this device include an all-new camera with advanced optics and full 1080p HD resolution video recording; iPhone 4S comes with iOS 5, the world's most advanced mobile operating system with over 200 new features; and iCloud, a breakthrough set of free cloud services that work with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC to automatically and wirelessly store your content in iCloud and push it to other devices.

pirated apps don't get as frequent updates, even the free ones.
and as stated above, just use the US app store and you will get everything. Use PayPal or an itunes gift card and there is no limitation anywhere.
