One thing though is EDGe really unlimited? Cause I see digicel has a fair usage policy of you not going over 1GB a month.

Can you make skype calls on EDGE? I tried it on the 4G and it works great. costs half a MB a minute so works out to be around 10 cent a minute to call another skype phone.

I see digi says they don't allow skype usage on their data network. But not like them could ever catch you right? kinda backwards that they want to ban skype.

As of what I can remember when I had my 4S though, "Settings > General > Usage" gives a basic monitor.

I only had EDGE then though.. So it proved sort of useless. So I can't give any real feedback on how any of them work.

Wish I knew what that meant, kinda knowledge-less in networking/programming fields. But reason I think they wouldn't ban it if they could ban it is that.. Naturally it'd be kinda dotish to advertising video calling at lightning fast speeds blah blah blah nd then come say you can't use one of the most popular video calling clients there is.

But yes, they can, they can also shape the traffic, giving http traffic more priority over anything else. This would only be implemented if they run into saturation issues though, hopefully IMO

if u use up the 4gb in a week, for the next 3 weeks you will have edge speeds untill the next bill cycle. you can pay the 50 something dollars and add 1gb and so on, u wont be charged 30cents per mb. that applies to people who did not take a plan and just have pay as u go,( never applied for a plan),

If you are trying to form the fool you have succeeded and I am taking a chance to explain to you, it is not unlimited if you have to pay for every megabyte over your package, unlimited means there there is no limit, you have obviously confused yourself and mixed with a lack of understanding of English, you are making very dumb posts.

Digicel never said they are going to stop your edge or HSPA once you use up you quota, they are going to let you continue using the service, you would just be charged 30 cents per megabyte for it.

Unlimited means that you don't have any quota whatsoever, Google it SMH

You need some hooked on phonics bro, and to those on PostPaid, I think only the 400 MB plan would be throttled over their quota iirc, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB would not be throttled.

Correction, only the 200MB day plan would be throttled, all other plans would not be throttled

dumb as$ imm telling u this because i have the 7 day plan not the day plan and i ate up me data before time and i didnt have any $$ on my phone and i still was able to use the net, i did a speed test and the max i was getting was .2mbs, when i checked my remaining quota is said 0mb..... ... i saw that table too....geez the ignorance of people eh

lmfao and u telling me i need to learn english? since when u heard me say i took a day plan? i said a week brah.... any ways go about ur daily life..... sooner or later u would realize what i was talking about... but honestly under seriousness, u dont get charged 30cents a mb.... u get get heavily throttled to edge speeds, i was thinking that after the quota that would be it no more net... but i was still able to use the net, i had no $ on my phone... so idk if its something they aint realize or what, but i was getting net normal, its only when i got the text saying that the plan has expired then i got the usual you need to top up page.... i wouldnt just tell u this info if i wasnt sure...

im pretty sure its the same thing for all the plans, but then again, unless u really trying to use up 4gb on purpose, u aint even gonna reach close to that.... oh and using opera reduces the amout of data u use by up to 60%,,, something to look into
