Bmobile does source their phone from ebay/amazon?

Don't you get a warranty when purchasing from the dealer?

I'd rather buy a:

1) Refurbished Note (that looks and feels like new 8-) ) for $1,000 from the dealer and get a warranty
THAN
2) Buy used Note (that's obviously used) for $500 (impossible price) from a local that gives no warranty

This isn't for the techie wanting the latest and greatest, this is for the bargain hunters who don't mind lagging a generation or two behind with a fully functioning phone that SHOULD last and God forbid it doesn't you simply return to the dealer for a replacement.

Strong this, aside from my chit talk if people choose to buy something during a sale then that's their money and business.

I am sick of always seeing these phaggots appear each time claiming is refurb. Refurb my ass.

Either they prove it or stop slandering the company because they "hear" so.

Most of the time the lazy refurb bantons are the ones who not smart and diligent enough to actually acquire a device. Instead they come here to ask "wey ha fone dan...i hear dem ting is refurb".

Anyhow for serious people, i was not jokin when i said try the promenade branch...it won't hurt.

Also try the various bmobile dealers countrywide. There's a list on their site.

Off the top i know of one in grand bazaar next to pizza boys, and one in price plaza almost opposite kfc.

Once I had to return the wife early model Galaxy a few years ago. Bought from a dealer in Long Circular but got Bmobile 1 year warranty. Was one set of run around though. The dealer wasn't taking the phone, I had to go to TSTT directly and was a specific location I think PoS - Independence Square. I decided the problem was livable and didn't bother.

I believe you have to leave the phone they give you a replacement one of any model....until the prob is rectified....if the phone can't fix...within the warranty period they give a new phone....correct me if am wrong

The bmobile on the promenade won't have as its not a dealer. The store in Nicholas towers said they would get today though. I had checked them last Friday.

no pioneer, no one is saying that that is what is happening right now. Just that TSTT doesn't give away phones like that for half price or they lose a lot of profit. They don't run a charity. If they were selling refurbished phones, no one will know. If they aren't, well good for their rep. Also there's nothing wrong with a refurbished phone, but once their labelled like that they lose market value.

Does the law in Trinidad, like USA or Canada's law, require reconditioned electronics to be legally labeled as such? Why would there be any documentation then if there's no law requiring it? TSTT never used to sell reconditioned CDMA and GSM phones before bmobile?

There is a way to check if newer android phones have been factory refurbished by the manufacturer.

Works on most Android phones that came with 2.3 or higher as the stock OS. (If it doesn't work for you, there are some other hidden stuff like editing /system/build.prop and adding "sys.hiddenmenu.enable=1" and then entering an unlock code. So don't worry about it too much.)

It will not tell if a phone was refurbished if it was not issued a RTN number, which means that it could have been refurbished by anybody. That would mean that it was not reconditioned legally or according to manufacturer's specs. Add a shortcut activity with Launcher Pro and select "com.android.hiddenmenu"
The RTN status will show up with a number.

earphone speaker went on a phone back 2007 5 months after purchase. Was a mere 6mnth warranty but took the deal as it was one of those "Get more credit than you pay for the handset' deals.

I confirmed it was opened and probably fixed before i bought it from the dealer, that being said they took 2 months to fix and gave me a ton of run around. The replacement was an old samsung i couldnt care less about.

I hope they've improved on their service in that regard.

I removed the large space you left there for ease of reading purposes.

Refurb items are sold in brown or white boxes. Where does bmobile magically get new boxes with matching serial numbers from? What manner of wizardry is this? Do you even know what classifies as a refurb?

More people need to subscribe for your services, you can be the beacon of truth for so many. I suggest you even pay for a powerseller account and rename yourself to "phone pundit" or "baba cellular" - that way you can foresee and determine who have refurb phone and who don't. You seem to have inside info into the operations of bmobile/tstt.

Would you be willing to make a youtube vid of yourself stating your claims/alarming finds to let the world know?

I think it's more likely Samsung had some excess stock and gave it to bmobile to increase market share and generate some more hype about the brand at the same time.

same thing I was inferring. They made it a requirement to buy/activate a new sim. At the end of the year they'll claim to have x activations.

Almost like google's claim of activations vs actual online devices for android :poke:
