Other part of the story, not known by many.
Some dumbfvck knocked down the statue some years back with either a tractor or a backhoe while doing work near the cell tower.
Now Maria is angry

Isn't the statue still erect? Whenever I pass the location from the highway I swear I see it's still standing.

I think I heard about this story when CNC3 had a folklore series during the 7pm news a while back.
I always forget to look for it when I heading down south.

What is the logical explanation of this? Crosswinds blowing debris? A normal person just crossing? :agrue:

There are a lot of strange things in Trinidad. It is a very haunted island. I remember one time I was coming back from La Savanne, my girlfriend was driving her B14 and speeding as it was late and the road was clear but had to slow down at the first hill after you pass the savannah before you reach the cocoa and citrus fields. Suddenly we heard horse hooves going at full gallop then both saw a horse being ridden by a white man in colonial clothing that went up the hill and disappeared. Things were deadly quiet after that. Another time down Cedros by the composite school, after the sun goes down, you can see them as plain as day. Guards there don't last long. Too many strange apparitions.
