i seeing the SGS II for 490 now... how much was that starting price? imagine you got it release day... and now want to sell it using tuner logic if you get $450 for it... you lucky!

imagine 8000 for a 16GB iPhone with minor upgrades over last year's model and it still looks the same

$8000 is usually the starting mall price for any iphone that just got released and believe it or not it sells out within days .....well that is 1 store in Gulf city that i witnessed that already.

lol @ outdated. the 3GS is how old? my dad loves his. still functions as it used to. saying that in 1 year it becomes outdated and in other words useless is flawed
iPhones hold value much better than any other phone, but paying 8000 for it is not justified though but i will not go there.
then again, telling people about this who are already biased towards another end is indeed not worth the effort either

that's IF you are travelling - the cost of the ticket alone would make it less cost effective.

evading taxes is illegal but that is another story.

US$400 selling for TT$4000 is not unsual. We often use the x10 multiplier for all imported goods as it is a close representation of shipping + duty + VAT + markup.

I know lots of people who cry down iPhones. They do it cause they either never owned one or they just don't know how to use it. The iPhone hardly became the best selling smartphone just because people "are stupid..they would buy anything for whatever price."

was speaking more in terms of trinis buying items regardless of high prices. eg. when bread prices raised.

The tax alone up here in canada on an iPhone 4S is jus under $1000 tt btw


When i went in america apple store to purchase one , they said they wont have them factory unlocked till November also its much much much cheap to buy iphones in america than canada also tax in apple store america is 8.75% which i believe is already included in the price , unlike canada the tax is not included in the price which means the price of the iphone you see is not the actuall price you will be paying , you need to add the price + 800$ tt to be safe if you buying a 16GB iphone .

Of course the bigger the iphone is the more the tax will be.

If you shipping it to trinidad and stuff well good luck , the best thing to do is do what i saw people doing up here in the apple stores line ....there is a limit of 2 iphones per person so people hire others and give them money so in the end if they hire 5 people , they walk away with 10 iphones +2 from themself = 12 iPhones total.

BTW i wont spend $8000 on any phone

Mac OS 10.8 testers both inside Apple’s HQ and in the surrounding area of Silicon Valley have been spotted in Web Logs by MacRumors. Indeed, looking at our own logs (above), 10.8 users have been hitting our servers since mid-August, though only in numbers that probably could have been faked.

More recently, however, 10.8 testing has grown more abundant, with testers hitting our site every day including on weekends from non-Apple IP addresses throughout October.

Similar patterns emerged in testing OS 10.7 which leads us to conclude that this is still very early testing and it is likely more than a year before we’ll see even public betas of the OS.

Sources familiar with the future of Mac OS X say that AirPlay Mirroring and an iMessage application are currently in development. Although neither project may see the light of day, they are definitely on the table for release in future versions of OS X Lion. AirPlay Mirroring for the Mac will allow a user to wirelessly mirror exactly what is shown on their Mac’s display to an Apple TV connected to a projector, television, or external monitor. AirPlay video streaming is also being integrated into QuickTime X.

This would be a fantastic addition to the conference room for corporate presentations and would sell a few more Apple TVs we would imagine.

Apple is designing a new 15-inch MacBook model that will offer an ultra-thin MacBook Air-like design, Macotakara said recently. We heard a similar rumor in July that suggested Apple had already entered late testing stages with the device. It remains unclear if Apple will introduce a 15-inch MacBook Air, if it will introduce a thinner but more powerful MacBook Pro or if it will reintroduce the “MacBook” family of computers, which was discontinued this past summer. Apple currently only offers 13-inch and 11-inch MacBook Air models, so it is possible the company is adding a larger laptop to the mix. Apple currently outfits its MacBook Pro computers with an optical drive and beefier hardware that contribute to the bulkier size; a thinner model might mean the company is ditching the optical drive to remove some bulk. The Cupertino-based firm quietly upgraded the MacBook Pro on October 24th, however, so any drastic changes to the computer probably won’t be unveiled until some time next year.

yes but jailbreak will be tethered
unless its an old bootrom... which i think one tuner was? he had an old bootrom and did a silly thing. In his case, it will be untethered because 24kpwn exploit would apply and /not/ limera1n... in theory.
