NACTA poll predictions.
Polls don't win elections
Neither does Kamla and the UNC.
Kamala won her seat for a number of years right?

UNC won one election right?

Let's hope you don't eat your words come next year, apparently PNM is the best thing since slice bread and doing everything possible to stay in power, everybody happy with PNM. Even Manning overestimated himself and we all know how that ended

Just remember his words concerning the massive increase in salary and pension.....whether it is fair or not is not the point. The committee did a job and I am accepting such.

lol

it is in reference to this guardian article
https://guardian.co.tt/news/amery-brown ... e09ce0f8ba

saying browne tipped to replace rowley for diego martin west

After serving as MP for 33 years, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley will not be screened by the People’s National Movement (PNM) for the Diego Martin West seat in the 2025 general election. Instead, informed sources told Guardian Media that Senator Dr Amery Browne is set to re-enter electoral politics and screen for the Diego Martin West seat with Dr Rowley’s blessings.

If successful in the general election, Dr Browne, who is presently the country’s Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs, will replace Dr Rowley as MP for Diego Martin West.

When asked yesterday about his potential screening, Dr Browne responded, “I will update you on this in the not-too-distant future, at a time that I deem appropriate. Be fully assured that I remain keen on contributing to the future of our country and the party.”

Was skeptical about that article

Rowley not going anywhere. If he wins in 2025, he serves out his term and retires in 2030. Succession begins in 2029 internals with a new political leader for 2030 generals.

btw... Colm Imbert stated that he will be seeking re-election for Diego Martin North/East and that it would be his last.

^more jackassness from rowley. Bring a CARICOM delegation to oversee the election? We getting some guyanese here to sort out valid votes like what they did over there? People right to want to pelt one belt on he skin. Bring election in May or August or November -- we going to beat he tail so bad he going to feel it a year from now

New names for 5 constituencies

THE Parliament yesterday accepted without amendments the Elections and Boundaries Commission 2024 Report on the boundaries under which the next general election would be held.

This, although the Prime Minister took issue with some of the name changes suggested by the EBC. He said by moving one polling division, the constituency known as Pointe-a-Pierre was changed to Claxton Bay, and he didn’t understand the removal of the community of Pointe-a-Pierre from the new name.

He said D’Abadie/O’Meara was renamed Malabar/Mausica and that because of the nature of the geography and the communities, one would have difficulty identifying exactly where this constituency has it boundaries. He said he had complaints about the removal of O’Meara from the people of O’Meara. D’Abadie, a long-standing community, was also being replaced in this arrangement, he added.

He said while there were no boundary changes in St Joseph, the EBC saw it fit to change the name to Aranjuez/St Joseph because it accepted that Aranjuez was a distinctive community and should be part of the name.

He said, however, the same principle was not used with the removal of Pointe-a-Pierre.

The constituencies whose names were changed are:

Arouca/Maloney to be renamed Trincity/Maloney

D’Abadie/O’Meara to Malabar/Mausica

Lopinot/Bon Air West to Arouca/Lopinot

St Joseph to Aranjuez/St Joseph

Pointe-a-Pierre to Claxton Bay.

The Prime Minister also questioned the EBC’s categorization of people who had moved, but were still voting in their old polling stations, as “ancestral voting”.
