Idk na. After seeing Geelal win his court case I don't take on anything with regards to town and country or approvals. Them could only harass imps.

To the topic at hand, the ppl that have a problem with how the coast guard handled the baby situation, what do you propose we do with the coast guard, disband them and make trinidad a free for all? I just asking, cuz is dammed if you dammed if you don't. Trinis always saying they don't do anything, they finally act is a problem. Well ok disband them and let all the Venezuelans infest here

The more I read about this the more I realize how unfortunately UNPATRIOTIC some of us are.

The same boas that are used to transport migrants, are used to transport other things,
Food stuffs, Animals, Contraband, Illegal narcotics, Illegal Firearms

Do these boats have flags or signals to show what their cargo is? Do they fill out manifests that are forwarded so that all and sundry can tell them apart?

When a non compliant boat operator starts acting aggressively what are those who are trained and committed protecting US supposed to do?

What were the conditions? Was it bright daylight where you can see easily who is approaching?

There are protocols in place for intercepted vessels to be brought back to base and migrants processed as has been done in the past. no front page articles, no hullabloo…. NO THREATS to those who stand guard 24/7/365

But….

A BABY WAS SHOT….. An Innocent life was lost …. A mother and father lost a child…

As unfortunate, sad and distressing as this is

Just for the record. I believe migrants should be granted safety and the ability to prosper wherever they may have to go to seek it.
But that MUST not infringe on the safety of the country and it’s population they are seeking refuge in.
But they are responsible for their safety and must accept the risks and consequences that are involved.

In investigation is underway as protocol dictates. The truth will be known.

Alot of drugs, guns and human trafficking does take place via these illegal transportation and no one is saying you can't have sympathy but lets be REAL HERE.
