Nice, nice, we takin' dat. They're improving but the defense still has issues...Pickford saved their arse a couple of times toward the end there.

Still dunno if they have what it takes to beat Croatia though, much less France (Les Bleus is the strongest/favourites of the remaining teams, no argument there).

Time will tell.

Interesting piece of trivia: in this World Cup no team that has gone first in a shootout has won.

May be something worth considering for those still in it.

Recently I read a statistician article that penalties are biased based on a wide sample over the years. He proposed a system to have the 2nd team take two consecutive shots and vice versa from there.

Russia was ranked #70 in the world ahead of this tourney
They did really good, but Croatia has a beast of a keeper - which may make the difference in the england match.

I like england for the finals though. They running good ball

I saw 2 Russian penalty kicks like if the mafia was holding dey family hostage.
So lame and no effort at first I thought the referee would have given them a do over.
