processed, im not a fan of photoshop so not a fan of overly touched up pics

ive been learning light room 4 to process raw files..makes a big difference esp if i cant nail the exposure properly...but i feel like im cheating though..i try to get best images possible

People tend to forget the darkroom back then was used for retouching as well. Dodging, burning, spotting. Kneaded erasers and grease pencils to get the job done lol.

Most of my pics that I post are processed but just at the auto level, all I use is curves, levels brightness/contrast and saturation. The pic i posted above of sando hill i removed all the electricity poles and lines, dust bins and signs, made for a cleaner lookin pic...

Unprocessed makes no sense... all pictures could use a little pop, or even saturation, contrast and sharpness REDUCTION. There is a difference between procesed and fakery. I see many landscapes where the original shot has clearly not used filters, and single file (ie, not multiple bracked shots) HDR is used to make artificial tones to compensate for the great contrast difference.... looks terrible.

personally getting the right look is not a problem but trying to make a subject look perfect by removing all the imperfections isn't my cup of tea" mostly wrt human portraits" because subject have a vein or a wrinkle doesn't mean she not bess or the photo not great...

well if thaz d case, then its safe to assume shooting in raw or raw+jpeg most of the time
i did editing on jpegs but lost quality the more touching ups i did esp if the photo was overexposed

Raw is great, jpegs are lossy and usually processed already, if your camera has setting for jpegs you'd notice they have more contrast and saturation compared to a raw shot of the same thing.

The camera I have can be hacked to shoot in raw. Think I should do it? Its something you need to run each time the camera is turned on.

When I shoot JPEG Its set to Neutral , I PP everything its part of shooting pictures out of a DSLR all need some processing .

I always shoot in jpeg as well....use Lightroom just to touch up and crop in some cases....the heavy post processing that I see a lot of "camera owners" do is horrific tho

That's how I do it too. Only really use photoshop for watermarking and if I need to remove something in the photo

I personally prefer raw. Nikon profiles don't match anything I would like my pictures to look like, except portrait.
