I've used a balloon and rubber band or tiestrap to insulate connectors for outdoor lights already - worked pretty well. I got the idea from an old RC car that came with a balloon in the box to protect the radio receiver from getting wet. The kit referred to it as a "rubber bag".
I dont have a size large enough to fit over the deutschPhone Surgeon wrote:why large heat shrink wouldnt work?

Can you take apart the deutsch connectors and put shrink tube and then put it back together? Deutsch connectors are made to be serviceable.

Its to secure the loom to the rubber end of the connector in the area where they meet in the orange box.
I hope this clears that up.
Also, its just an option besides regular electrical tape i need. Electrical tape gets sticky and i trying to avoid that mess

heat shrink, even better if you can order the type with the adhesive lining on the inside
I suggest that you try 3M Temflex vinyl tape. It is not expensive, either. You should be able to find that at Modern Electric. It has a 200°F working temperature so you shouldn't see adhesive flow. Otherwise use Polyken vinyl, if you can find it. It has a higher working temperature.*KRONIK* wrote:I have thisX_Factor wrote:*KRONIK* wrote:20220217_073341.jpg

But the largest size still too small to go over the rubber
