Consumer grade shredders will probably not work for bamboo unless it's very small in diameter and still green. You may need something like a 12 inch or larger. It will be on it's own trailer and have a 50+ hp engine.

Guys

Whats a good tape to attach split loom to a rubber strain relief?

I wanna add a extra layer of pretection to some lights, but they came pre-wired with deutsch connectors, so i cant put any heat shrink as the connector is too large and the other end is even smaller.

I dont wanna use regular electrical tape as that gonna get sticky and turn to goo in a few weeks.
I have tesa tape, but i feel thats the wrong application for that.

Any recommendations?

The part marked in blue seems sealed already - if you want to protect the deutsch connector then use a large heat shrink tube.

I've used a balloon and rubber band or tiestrap to insulate connectors for outdoor lights already - worked pretty well. I got the idea from an old RC car that came with a balloon in the box to protect the radio receiver from getting wet. The kit referred to it as a "rubber bag".

Its to protect the wire from the lamp to the connector
I'm not worried about the deustch connector as thats very solid and waterproof
But the loom needs be secured to at least one end of the wire

Can you take apart the deutsch connectors and put shrink tube and then put it back together? Deutsch connectors are made to be serviceable.

Silicone or epoxy inside the end of the split loom and let it set. Waterproof and mostly removable.

Try 3M splicing tape. I've used it to waterproof connectors in the past. It works just like regular electrical tape but once you stretch and stick it to a surface, it will bond and harden like PVC when wrapped around anything.

Ok

Lewwe start again
Its to secure the loom to the rubber end of the connector in the area where they meet in the orange box.

I hope this clears that up.

Also, its just an option besides regular electrical tape i need. Electrical tape gets sticky and i trying to avoid that mess

Plastic weld. Gorilla glue. Epoxy. I like the rubber band and tie strap idea though.
Btw good quality electrical tape doesn't get sticky and messy.

I suggest that you try 3M Temflex vinyl tape. It is not expensive, either. You should be able to find that at Modern Electric. It has a 200°F working temperature so you shouldn't see adhesive flow. Otherwise use Polyken vinyl, if you can find it. It has a higher working temperature.

If you go to Modern, you can ask for 1-1/2 inch or 2 inch 3:1 heat shrink. Those should work, also. You aren't weather-protecting so dual-wall heat shrink won't do anything except look sloppy.

Fellaz

Cordless grinder
More specifically dewalt 20v brushless

Worth it?
or not?

And reviews of other brands are welcome in terms of run time and power (or lack off)
