NZ were being beaten by WI just around 3 years ago. The nucleus of that team have now reached a WC final, held England to a draw in England, beaten Pakistan in the Middle East, beaten India in NZ, beaten WI in WI.

The nusleus of WI team there too and they have beaten Bangladesh since then :?

could be a low scoring game, but the Aussies could try to make ah 300-400 and maybe come out 2-1.....that might be pushing it,but it's possible.

Yeah well hopefully DJB can come back and take Chanderpaul's spot...
He would add to the bowling attack as well.
Hope L Simmons can make a comeback too, but I doubt that would happen. But WI really needs a good opener, doubt Gayle can play Tests again because of his back.

Is there anything to be said.
I hope to one day sometime in the future to enjoy Test Cricket again.
Presently all I can do is ,whilst passing the television "shrug".

Why? Why can't we follow through on our successes?

To have the Aussies at 178/8 and WI could not finish the job.

I lost count of how many catches we dropped. But look at the catch Warner took to dismiss Bravo.

Marlon Samuels was pelting plenty when he was bowling. Some brave umpire will call him out again one day.

lol, you can always count on the windies. I thoroughly enjoyed what I saw in their bowling I must say tbh, great consistent stuff from taylor, bishoo and gabriel. Holder needs to tighten up a bit more.

Apart from bishoo, the bowling of the others lacked the killer instinct. Look how starc et al bowled on the same flat pitch.

The Australian team cricket is superior to WI. Don't fight it and the chess bun from yesterday's defeat will subside immediately. Results guaranteed.

Bishoo got wickets because of the constant pressure applied by the other supporting bowlers, Gabriel came out with better averages than all of the aussie quicks, poor batting caused the windies to fall apart, killer instinct wasn't doing much to dowrich and samuels until he got sloppy.

edit. I was actually wondering why benn wasn't included or another premier offie to work alongside the legspinner, marlon samuels certainly couldn't be that option. Cricket is situational and strategic, I assume you would know that.

Licks within three days nonetheless. wi loss despite good performances by some players....Australia won due to the spark provided by voges which lit the entire team.

Yep, runs were sparse, it's plain in smith's dismissal trying to go after the spinner and getting undone. It's always worked that way with building pressure on both ends as seen throughout australia's warne/mcgrath period. Maybe I watched the wrong game..
