There are literally dozens of illegal structures within 100 yards of the TPRC. Three story residential/apartment buildings, houses utilizing the boundary wall as the house wall,etc.

To be fair I assume they going to go after those as well.

And asking why not? And then following up with asking about this particular booth and why only the law was applied right there?

Btw I was in Bamboo weekend gone and talk to ppl and they say Inshan had and have nothing to do with the structure and the decision to build it etc. It was a council meeting. He just start to run he big mouth in the media for attention and everybody end up paying like this. If it wasn't for him it could have passed silently and the monies wudda pass later. They were going to run the barrier in at night after 10pm and raise it at 5am. So it wouldn't have affected business and such, only the residents.

Nahhh that's too much thing to think about. Better just keep on voting Rowley

It took North Valsayn over 2 years to get a signed document with the proper approvals to proceed with the construction of fuard booths and installation of barrier gates. Money has to be now raised for its installation and implementation.

Previously North Valsayn had 2 MOVABLE booths constructed installed and manned by security with no gate. These were placed on the legal road reserve with permission from the property owners and they even provided electricity. This did not breach any laws or mandates from tprc st joseph police station wasa and ttec.

Research is key when wanting to do somthing like this. There is a lot of other things that need to be considered when coverting an area into a 'gated' community and people should have found out the challenges residential areas in the west had when they were implementing and blocking off streets.

In my opinion a temporary booth could have been installed that is not a permanent structure. Implement the security guard and monitoring proceedures while seeking and meeting the tprc requirments. Now if the booth was installed inside someones property they would not have had much of an issue.

Wuh? Well I thought it was too when that one person had a very loud mouth on social media and the news, getting the attention that he wanted and once again backfiring, leaving the residents to suffer. So first he was threating and suing the TPRC now he suing a resident in Bamboo.

Bacchanal is brewing in Bamboo following the demolition of a guard booth, as businessman Inshan Ishmael has threatened legal action against a community member who claimed that he (Ishmael) is the owner of the booth.

Four-time Calypso Monarch, Weston “Cro Cro” Rawlins, has been ordered to pay $250,000 in compensation to businessman and social activist, Inshan Ishmael, for defamation. The compensation was ordered by High Court Judge Frank Seepersad, a short while ago, as he upheld Ishmael’s case over Rawlins’ song “Another Sat is Outside Again”. Justice Seepersad ruled that Rawlins’ lyrics could not be considered fair comment, were malicious and intended to damage Ishmael’s reputation.
