A hunting permit simply permits you to legally hunt. A Firearm User's License is required to legally own a firearm. An air rifle permit is required to legally own an air rifle. Not sure if they will allow you to own a desert Eagle as I assume you are referring to the 50 Cal variant.

Even if God smile on you and the Commissioner of Police grants you a firearm user's licence, you can bet your last cent that you will never get approval for a .50 cal pistol, this is not America.

The CoP rarely grants licences for anything other than standard defensive calibers, which would include 9mm, .380 cal, .38. etc.

Desert Eagle does produce 9mm pistols though, also known as Jericho pistols from Israel.
