A fa­ther of sev­en died in an ac­ci­dent while on his way to his Clax­ton Bay home on Sat­ur­day morn­ing. An­tho­ny Fran­cois, 57, who worked in the re­frig­er­a­tion de­part­ment at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, died at the scene. Po­lice be­lieve that he may have been speed­ing. Ac­cord­ing to a re­port, around 3.30 am, Fran­cois was dri­ving his blue Nis­san AD sta­tion wag­on north along the Solomon Ho­choy High­way. As he ap­proached the Macaulay Over­pass, Fran­cois lost con­trol of his wag­on which ran off the road­way and flipped sev­er­al times. Fran­cois was thrown from the ve­hi­cle. His ve­hi­cle end­ed up on the Macaulay Ex­ten­sion Road which runs par­al­lel to the high­way. When Guardian Me­dia vis­it­ed his For­res Park Road home yes­ter­day, his wife was not at home. A rel­a­tive said Fran­cois was re­turn­ing home from Gas­par­il­lo, but de­clined to give any oth­er in­for­ma­tion. Cpl Seer­am of the St Mar­garet's Po­lice Sta­tion is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
