Most increase the BP, if you doing cardio ya HR cud hit 170 normally, I'd say common sense will tell you your heart will be over worked with the pre.
A good sub for a pre is a strong cup of black coffee. I also read somewhere that prolonged usage makes you dependant on it, because it lowers your natural energy levels.
