@pios, check the 460GTX. You can get an ASUS 1GB for around 175usd (on sale).
But if you still on the same specs that u told me about, that is a sure bottleneck for it eh.

How old was it?

Been using MV ram for years in all kinda systems and never had a problem. Has compatibility with most boards as well.

The 1333mhz rated ddr3 can also run at 1500mhz at the same timings and voltage as well.

Once i bought an E5200 intel cpu and overclocked it up to 3.8ghz using 2gb MV DDR2 800MHz but didn't lock the ram speed at default and it conk out. Let it rest a week or so and reinstalled it and it worked good ever since.

Very much so. I still running most games med to high at 1680. Only game that just running unacceptably (for my standards) is Crysis.
