^What!? why??
you wouldnt believe the amount of reading, and reading, and reading i did before buying this vga. I really wanted a 7970, but almost all of the good 7970s on the market now are not using ref. PCBs and are voltage locked, so the great ocing headroom those gpus are known for is severely cut down.
I doubt i'll get much more out of this 680 past the factory overclock, but i def. wont be farting around with it till i get it under water. :|

You couldve bought a ref 7970 & jus OCd it, they're almost all the same just some clocked a lil higher than others but the real world diff wouldn't be that big.
But i think you went the right way with the 680 when it comes to single monitor usage as it performs better than the 7970.

I'd love one of those titan cards but i have no real use for such powah. Plus is like $1000 US

^*whew*...

another water cooling noob question...whats the best method to clean a new rad before use? I've read some ppl insist on using heated distilled water to flush it, while others just use room temp water. does one clean more thoroughly than the other?

I never said anything about the card. That 680 is a beast! It's the water cooling and overclocking :P but don't worry you in good hands.

Use the distilled water, tap water may leave minerals inside the radiator tubing after flushing.

Or u can attach your garden hose to an inlet on the rad, pressure-flush it out and then run distilled through it afterwards.

Quick tip, distilled water is better known as battery water locally.

I boiled a kettle of tap water, ran it through the rad a couple times giving it a good shake, when you notice no more particles coming out then flush it again with distilled.

On another note anybody take in the PS4 announcement yest, feel I getting one was real impressed.

my cpu temp is up to 47degrees from the usual 37-38 and it refuses to go down :/

readings by core temp, is it anything to worry about? like a failing part or something

Probably ur cpu fan losing rpms and slowing down a bit.

Check for dust buildup on the heatsink as well.

I see u weren't joking when u said u was gonna watercool the gtx 680.

A 240 rad capable of good cooling once is a good one.

HCCA nice build there.... after seeing some of the pics here I feeling to build a new server.... been about a year since my last build.

Question for anyone here:
currently I looking for a software to manage multiple screens. I have 3 monitors in this situation, Two at the desk and the other in another room. The software should allow me to select a window an give me an option to send to monitor 3 (in other room) rather than drag and drop blindly. Any one knows of anything that gives any function close to this functionality ?

Lol either way, you still have quite a high end GPU....I've had a 6990 since the day it was released, doesn't have a voltage lock on it.

I find it sounding alright  but I eh play 3 yet. I halfway through Bro.hood.

But on another note, Tomb Raider making my GTX 460 cry. On 'ultimate' setting with TressFX + tessellation enabled I getting a whopping 3.4 FPS average  but if I disable those 2 effects I getting like 25 FPS
