AXi series is a boss. That digital voltage regulation system drive up the efficiency from gold to platinum. Anytime my AX 850 gone through is a AXi that replacing it.

Got this idea in meh head while thinking of ways to improve my azza genesis build last year...

Came up with this:

Have a lil touching up with paint to do inside the chambers before i ress a sheet of tinted glass on it so it almost complete.

Entire thing cost $700 to build including glass when i get it, nuh bad i think.

Will get some night pics when it finish, looks way better in the dark.

Yeah i used 1/2" mdf to reduce the overall weight.

The motherboard trays are made from 14 ga. aluminum.

Used a commercial design for reference:

Seems most of the desk builds online using that design as a reference now as well as the original L3P desk.

Yeah a lot of reviews stating that it's pretty much the worst aliens game they make, the graphics looking like DX9 stuff.

I think the only aliens game worth playing is Aliens vs Predator 2010.

Have to try that sometime.

To the w/c guys...have you ever had any issues with plasticizers or discolouring and gunk build up with your tubing? Been reading up about it and id like to try avoid this from the start. What tubing you guys using and where'd you get it? im looking for 1/2"ID 3/4"OD.

I using liquid cooling for about four years now, haven't got any buildup in any of my components/tubing.

However the only issue of discoloured tubing i got was with the clear tubing included with the xpsc rasa kits. After about 6 months the clear tubing turned almost solid white. Read up on the issue and its very common so no big thing.

Switched to Primochill tubing as seen in my desk build (got it from amazon, also available on Performance-PCS.com). You can also use food grade clear vinyl tubing if u going with colored coolant, much cheaper than feser or primochill tubing.

Because i don't want to be cleaning my loop more than once a year i switched from non conductive expensive a$$ coolant to normal distilled water and PT Nuke. The dyes from the coolant can also separate and clog components.

I've been wondering about the benifits of non conductive coolant...ive still got some researching to do, but as yet i havent found any stories where this type of coolant saved someone's pc after their loop sprung a leak. Think ill just go distilled with a kill coil

What some of the noobs and know-it-alls who use non conductive coolants seem to ignore is that the fluid is non conductive only when it is running in the system for a very short while.

After a while the fluid picks up minerals from the copper/nickel/aluminum components used in the liquid cooling system and therefore becomes conductive.

Technically distilled water is non conductive but if it spills onto a components and mixes with any dust or stray mineral it will become conductive easily.

The silver kill coil is a good way to prevent algae growth, or you can use PT Nuke which is a concentrated copper sulphate solution. Swiftech makes a coolant mix called HydrX which u can use with the distilled water, only con is that it's green only.

If there are any silver fittings in the system that can assume the duties of the kill coil as well.

I using a monsoon silver bullet fitting which is an alternative to the killcoil as you can just plug it into the res. Also using the Hydrx (suggested to me by Chiney) w/ distilled, heard it's great for keeping your blocks clean as well when time to do maintenance.

Also nothing cools better than good ole fashioned water so doh even waste your $ on coolant. I'm using primochill green tubing as well & highly doubt I'll have any plasticizer problems with my setup. You can check this thread for more info on plasticizer issues. Just remember to do a proper leak test (12-24 hrs) & you should be g2g till is time for cleaning out the loop.

Buy your stuff from PPCs, they have pretty decent prices. Use 'OCN55' code to get a 5% off your purchase
