It doesn't do 3D but if that's not an issue go ahead.

DVDs look surprisingly good on a 50" samsung using it. Haven't tried a blu ray yet.

At $60 I doubt it'd cross 575 to get it landed here, but I didn't buy it so I didn't really check online.
