West Indies cricket continues to be a series of few extreme highs and significant extreme lows which rips at the heart of the truly dedicated fan.
Unfortunately,I anticipate a very real organizational collapse in the not too distant future.
Hopefully when the shipwreck occurs a proper vessel will be put in place.
Under the existing chaos there certainly cannot be any hope of a sustained recovery.
This is really a time for those who look forward to the cricket fete and not the quality of the game.

Brick is too strong to change, must be broken down and rebuilt and it starts from the foundation. It also takes big force to break it, hard decisions. As Tony Cozier pointed out, WI is the only international team that lacks support staff to facilitate players and their mental faculties in their ruts and gullies to ensure the players are always ready to face the challenges of a pro sport environment.

If narine thinks his action is up to par for the international stage, by all means its much better to wait than get banned and have his career ruined, on that note, I hope that doesn't happen to Jason Holder a la wicb in terms of career and the pressure of having to captain a wc team with no previous solid experience and performance at that level of competition.

With many of the regions govt pulling their support and a huge possible claim from India inclusive of sanction coming from ICC things are coming to ahead.
The only way the WICB may get full regional state support (from states with money) appears to be a full scale resignation of all 'manjack'.
Right now the apaches running wild since the tribal chiefs in the tepee getting 'high' on their own nonsense.

I would say Pool A has the stronger teams but Pool B could have some upsets with both WI and Pakistan in that group (both teams are unpredictable/inconsistent)...Ireland could spring an upset or two.

Update: Miller replaces Narine in WI squad.

How can they choose a lame goat like that to replace narine, they had soooooo much better option, wicket there is better for pace rather than spin

Yeah Idk why they HAD to choose a spinner...we already hav Benn... Braithwaite was our best bowler in the last ODI...but he isn't even in the WC squad. If they wanted to choose a spinner, y not Permaul as he was the best spinner after Narine in the recent 50 over tournament.

They never even considered to pick him, so he might as well retire, bravo has come a long way since he last played tests for wi. Both pollard and bravo expressed their willingness for the long format but wicb clearly has much more talented players at hand. T20 spec D warner would be disappointed.

Bravo should have stuck around, he would have been the perfect replacement for Chanderpaul's place when he retires.

Dwayne too much on hype. Everyone can see he jus in it for all the glory he can get. Darren a bit different in a good way although he slipping the same way that Adrian and Ganga did.

Things really not looking good for WI
Their warm up against England this morning they were bowled out for 122 in less than 30 overs, England won by 9 wickets and almost 28 overs to spare.

The associates in that group must think they have a shot at 4th place at least.

They are. But the matches going on currently are warm-up fixtures so you won't see it on TV.
The actual world cup starts on the 14th (Saturday).

ESPN advertised themselves as showing the WC. I wonder if it will be blocked forcing one to watch local TV?
