I might get flamed for saying this, but the majority of pet shop discus are poor quality and overpriced. I have seen some badly deformed sub adult discus being sold for $300-$600, runts sold for $80 and up and of indeterminate breed.

Couldn't agree more. With respect to a particular breeder in Lange Park Chaguanas, even though the quality is good, I cannot have respect for someone who has different prices for different ppl.

Not because its cheaper means its the same material and size. One could of used 1" hollow section and the other 1 1/2". Or they could of made it with angle iron. Suppose the cheaper one not really stable........................ just things you should ask yourself in the long run. It hard to see all that water on the floor cause you tried to save some bucks

I am just saying. Better thing to do Is go and see both of them instead of taking the sellers word for it. Both of them could be built good, just that one might be done stronger. I have gone at a few places and seen some chewing gum looking welding on some tank stands and I'll never put no tank on some of those stands. That's just me.
