SA 284/3 at the final drinks break. Two of the finest batsmen currently in world cricket each on a hundred. WI's only hope is to get rid of them and then there is just a fairly inexperienced batting pair of Van Zyl and De Kock and the tail (although Philander at 8 does have a better average than Devon Smith our opener :? )

Now seeing that SA went for 4 pacemen in Steyn, Philander, Morkel and Abbott. WI batsmen in for some trouble later.

Looking forward to comical entertainment...one thing WI will never fail to provide no matter what the critics say.

287 - AB de Villiers' batting average against West Indies in his last eight Test innings against them. He has been dismissed only twice and has scored 574 runs with three centuries and two fifties off these eight innings. Overall, he has hit 1178 runs against West Indies at an average of 90.61 including five hundreds and five fifties in 19 innings. This was De Villiers' 20th Test hundred and he has become the fifth South Africa batsman to hit 20 or more Test centuries.

Shouldn't have been surprised by his batting this morning.

The match began with some tight decent bowling by the openers for WI resulting in them snagging a few quick wickets. WI players were celebrating in the typical west Indian way. They were feeling confident. The new batsmen came to the crease had a look see and just felt like telling the opposition "we better than alyuh, know ur role" by the confidence they expressed in the ability of themselves and their team. WI saw a difficult task ahead. Their attitude (most of them) indicated that they wanted to go home but couldn't because they signed a binding agreement.... I eh watch a second of the match thus far just a few glimpses at the score ...but tell meh if ah wrong?

I say they go make ah 200...I'd be shocked if they make more...SA would tell them bat again.

anyone besides bravo is better in my opinion.

dunno about holder...

please remember its that muffler bearing bravo who put west indies to shame when he lead them into abandoning an international tour.. i highly doubt he will play for wi again

would've preferred samuels as captain but then again maybe the selectors are looking to rebuild a team with players who actually want to play cricket.. as crazy as the decision may seem it may work out for the future. lets wait and see

WI won't get better wit no system for getting good youths..

and ICC should have a two-tier Test system....based on points teams can get promoted and regulated...and whoever wins the top tier over 5 years is world champion....better than dis shitty/obsolote one day format WC coming up...

true dat^ Team looks very weak/inexperienced...even when Bravo, Pollard, Sammy and Narine were in the team, we were losing most games against top opposition.

But you are speaking of two separate formats. You can't replace the ODI WC with a Test World Champion. ODI WC has its merits and its support just as the T20 WC has its own.

WRT a tiered test system there is a plan in place for a two tier system http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci-icc/cont ... 09973.html.
The major sticking point is that England, Australia and India can never be relegated.
