You know the RIGHT thing is to tell them about it in hope they will stop, but given the crime situation, confronting them may not be the smartest thing to do.

It frustrates me to see someone throwing bottles or any kind of litter out of their car, or driving on the shoulder to cut traffic. But you may be putting yourself and your family in danger by confronting them on it.

However NOT doing anything just adds to the decay of our society making it even worse for ourselves.

What do you do?

In Trinidad I have been cussed at and verbally abused for telling person to stop littering and not to park in handicapped spots...after a while i just stopped

Thanks for that..
But to your original moral dilemma. Do YOU have the courage to change the things you can. Courage in this case meaning will you act?

Some perspective....

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

the original version of that prayer is

God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

In light of the death of SRP Babwah just thought this thread should be bumped. He attempted to do the "right thing" and now his daughters will grow up without a father...:|

Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

While it is not nice that he lost his life. With recent events where bandits have been shot point blank , bandits will be thinking a bit more when putting down a next wuk.

One of the biggest laws being broken is the sale of food without food badges and premises registration....and ppl willingly purchase food without observing these docs......

The food badge is necessary for something called contact tracing for epidemiological surveys in case of an outbreak of a communicable disease...
