In light of utterances of assurances for financial and economic efficiencies from the Govt and eventual negative results thus far, it is extremely difficult to accept the monotone offerings of the Minister of PR as credible.
The TTT incarnation on this occasion upfront declares business viability will not be a performance benchmark and could only mean another entity (in old clothes) designed to do the govt's biddings with tax payers footing the bill.
BTW, sanitization of personnel for the new entity certainly brings its benefits.

Gov't has no business in any commercial venture that isn't succeeding. Government can't run any business properly....full stop.

I say they divest what they don't need and keep "TTT" a bare bones institution. A station for disaster warnings etc....Keep a newsroom

They should seriously look at divesting CAL as well but we all know that they love to travel for free so that not happening anytime soon. Our problem in this country is that too many people are conveniently eating at the trough so they unable to make rational economic and business decisions.

Government also shouldnt be in the hotel business so get rid of Hyatt and Hilton as well....Tax profits if you want but no way should tax payers monies be used to build hotels. That same money should be used to build homes that can be sold to taxpayers. Anyone here ever see any sort of statement as to how much money government get from Hyatt or Hilton each year?

In any other life could people like Rowley, Kamla or Manning could afford to build an own a hotel or an airline? Why they keep making decisions such as these with money they never earn and could never earn in their private life.
