I want to publicly express my thanks to Stoute on the use of his FlatBed when we were in need . Many other racers with wreckers declined on Sat as they are so entitled to do.
Thanks to Sparky as well who when lining up to be inspected , came out of his race car to try and locate Stoute . Of the 20 odd flatbed wreckers there that day I called 20 numbers and no one answered.

the car runs a G-Force 2000 (clutchless 5 speed drag box)
nic's tercel has the same shifter/box pattern. it is NOT h-style shifting, the lever is basically pulled up then down. running through the gears starting in first, pulling down, second, pushing up, third, pulling down 4th, pushing up 5th.
there is a RELEASE lever, that you pull UPWARDS which unlocks the shifter's position which allows you to put the shifter in any gear while neutralized.
depending on the ratios and power of the motor, these gears are CUSTOM built to the tuners specifications, the goal is to END the quarter at the TOP of 5th maximising ALL the rpm to attain the highest MPH possible...
with these customed ratios, burnouts usually start in 3rd gear and run from 3rd - 5th (depending on the motor/powerplant)
other things to note about this type of drivetrain and what makes it special is its ability to neutralize off throttle... and also the shifter MUST be held IN gear, if it isnt HELD in, it will neutralize for itself... those are mainly safety features designed to 'recover' in times of need.
the clutch system and how it works is a whole other party though
hope my sheit explanation helped a bit
other g-force trannys in tdad are: sparky's gforce 101 (clutch assisted 4 speed top loader box)
nic's nastyness tercel gforce 2000:
ricardo's fd3s using a gforce 101 4speed (i think the video info was wrong on this one)
