samsung allshare does all this and more........ not seeing this device being usefull if you allready have a samsung smartv
But yes all share does that except it doesn't have iTunes built in.
The iPhone 4 does AirPlay very well. I've had an iPhone 4 for 2 years up to last month and I used airplay very often. Infact the home theater video I did is with using my iPhone 4.pete wrote:Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:you ever used or seen AirPlay in action?pete wrote:Nice!
Hopefullythe video players will get a chromecast button as well. If it does work it'll be much better than me having to connect my phone to the PS3 to watch movies on tv or using DLNA through PS3.
No I haven't. My dad nearly bought an apple TV but then I realised that his iphone 4 wouldn't let him use AirPlay anyway so told him not to waste his time/money as he'd have to buy the appletv AND a 4s/5 to do what he wanted it to.

From my experience, you need to have a fairly robust computer (i5 processor and up) to enjoy maximum benefits when streaming. My computer is a 2.5ghz core 2 duo running windows Vista, and according to google's faq, my computer only met the minimum requirements to stream standard definition content. My Apple TV supports the hd content on my computer (2.5ghz core 2 duo running windows Vista) through AirPlay and iTunes just fine. Additionally, windows vista is only partially supported whilst xp is not supported at all. The Apple TV was also far easier to setup than the chromecast and has a lot more content available than the chromecast.
I havent used my AppleTV remote much at all. I use a Harmony 900 and it integrates perfectlyHabit7 wrote:Apple TV remote easy to lose though. This is the third time now I lost mine in the couch, going on for some weeks now. Thankfully it is very easy to integrate with a universal remote like a Flow remote.

you doubt it will improve?Sky wrote:Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:but I think in time ChromeCast will improve.
If it has anything to do with the browser other than name, I doubt.
you are paying for Hulu Plus with your local credit card?wheelbarrow wrote:Habit7 wrote:Hulu Plus can only work with a US credit card
I'm using my local CC
You can't get the Hulk plus app in the local play store, waiting for the Hulu plus 2.9 apk to drop.
No Hulu plus on my Chromecast for me till I get that.
