'Nikita cut ties with handyman'
Lawyer's daughter killed
POLICE yesterday continued their search for a 27-year-old Guyanese man who is the main suspect behind the murder of 18-year-old Nikita Ramischand, the daughter of Port of Spain attorney Odai Ramischand.
On Wednesday night, the second-year Accounts student, at the School of Business and Computer Science (SBCS), was found dead with her throat slashed along a pathway behind the family's large Maracas Royal Road, Maracas Valley, home.
The victim's elder brother Sid Ramischand told the Express yesterday his sister's funeral will take place on Tuesday at noon at their home.
According to Sid, however, their family never knew the suspect.
He said about two months ago, Nikita broke off a "telephone love" relationship she had been having with him since November last year.
The man was working as a general handyman, hired by Odai Ramischand to perform some renovation work on the family's home.
About two months ago, he was threatened with deportation, and the family assumed he insisted on Nikita's hand in marriage in a bid to stay legally in this country.
According to Sid, however, "She did not know him that well, and she realised things were wrong with him, and she cut off all connections completely with him. In fact, she never even presented him to us, so we did not even know him that well."
He claimed that following her rejection of his proposal, he began stalking her and sending threatening text messages to her phone when he reportedly found out she had begun seeing someone else.
Sid said there were times they saw him peeping into the family compound when Nikita and her new friend were sitting in a porch at the front of the house.
KILLER FLEES TO GUYANA
THE 25-YEAR-OLD suspect being sought in connection with the brutal murder of Nikita Ramischand, 18, the daughter of prominent attorney Odai Ramischand fled Trinidad five hours after he is alleged to have killed the teen.
The Guyanese national is reported to have boarded a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight at 12.25 am on Thursday and arrived in Guyana an hour later. His last known hideout was identified as East of the Demerara River in a place called Soesdyke. It is a fairly forested area inhabited by persons of the low income group.
Yesterday, Ramischand who said he is still in shock over his daughter’s violent demise said that his nephew Anil Mohabir Nandlall, who is the Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of Guyana is very shaken up over the murder of Nikita and has put all resources in place to apprehend the suspect in the South American nation.
Ramischand said that based on immigration records he was able to find out when the suspect left Trinidad and when he arrived in Guyana and pointed out that all systems are in place to bring the suspect to justice.
“I will spend every penny and every breath that I have to make sure that justice is done to send a signal that you just cannot violate the sanctity of life and its regard to people’s feelings and respect for family life and decent people. I will make sure that justice is done through due process of law,” Ramischand said.
Ramischand said that he and his wife Shariza and five other children have not eaten or slept since Nikita was murdered and he is unsure if he will be able to even resume his legal career after his daughter’s funeral which has been tentatively set for next week Tuesday at the house of mourning. However he is clear in his mind that justice must be served.
“No one can interfere with my children and get away with it. Seeing my daughter take her last breath and blood seeping from her throat and stab wounds in her chest...it’s something I will not wish for any parent to witness. Rest assured, that man who took my Nikita away will be hunted down and brought to justice,” Ramischand vowed.
Ramischand said that on Wednesday he began feeling uneasy while at work and could not understand why he could not concentrate. He said that while at the office, Nikita telephoned him and said: “Dad, I feel like cooking for you today. I know your favourite meal is dhal, rice, caraili with shrimp and coconut chutney. I am looking forward to seeing you home soon.”
Ramischand said that he was kept back at his office on Wednesday because of legal work he is doing for a client in Guyana. On arrival home on Wednesday night he was met by his frantic wife who told him that Nikita could not be found.
He said that he told his wife and other children to look for her in the compound because his daughter never went anywhere without family members. “I told them to call her cellphone and when it began ringing at the back of a guest house on the compound my children rushed to where the phone was ringing only to discover Nikita gasping and vomitting chunks of blood.” Ramischand said when his children and wife began screaming he rushed to the area only to reach in time to see his daughter breathe her last.
“I almost collapsed. I could not believe what I was seeing. I thought my daughter was safe and protected at our home. The person who took away her life has no regard for human life or the repercussions of his actions.”
Ramischand said that he will forever be haunted by the image of blood spurting from Nikita’s neck and chest. He fears his family will never recover from this ordeal. He said the last meal Nikita cooked for him is still in the fridge. He said it will never be eaten and he will find some way to preserve it as it was the last act of love his daughter did for him before her death.
Ramischand said he regrets being kept back at his office as he felt his daughter would still be alive if he had come home his normal time. He said that the killer would have fled the scene shortly after he (Ramischand) arrived home.
He also revealed that his wife received three telephone calls from the suspect who claimed he was still in Trinidad staying in Chaguanas and Freeport. “That man had the audacity to call my wife to plead his innocence and even told her that he was not the person who killed Nikita. He said it was something which he could never do,” Ramischand said.
Ramischand said that he even asked the killer to meet with him but the man promised to call back. This conversation was recorded by police and later traced to Guyana. He said that hundreds of persons attended a wake at his home for Nikita on Thursday night and everyone expressed horror over the killing.
He said that two years ago, he took a decision to leave Trinidad and migrate with his family because of the crime situation but because it would have disrupted his children’s education, he decided against it. With Nikita’s death, migration is now uppermost in his mind.
Ramischand said that the Government of Guyana and the Trinidad Police are working hand in hand to bring the suspect to justice. Newsday understands that AG Nandlall was expected to arrive at 5.30 pm yesterday to attend next week’s funeral.
The teenager who was a student of the School of Business and Computer Studies (SBCS) was killed on Wednesday night while walking to her mother’s salon located inside her father’s mansion at Maracas/St Joseph.
The killer scaled a 10 foot fence at the northern side of the house and reportedly ambushed Nikita as she made her way to the salon. An autopsy carried out on Thursday revealed that the young woman’s throat was slit and she was stabbed six times.

Local cops hunt killer of Trinidadian attorney’s daughter

- suspect reportedly hiding out here
Local police have joined in the manhunt for a Guyanese construction worker who is wanted for the gruesome murder of Nikita Ramischand, the daughter of a prominent Trinidadian attorney.
Kaieteur News understands that police have received information that the suspect, 25-year-old Ramesh Sookram, called ‘Alan’, fled to Guyana the day after Ramischand’s mutilated body was found at Maracas, Trinidad.
A source said that information indicated that he entered Guyana around 01:00 hrs on Thursday.
Detectives reportedly questioned Sookram’s mother at the woman’s Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara home, but learned nothing of the fugitive’s whereabouts. INTERPOL has also been notified.
Ramischand is the daughter of prominent Trinidadian attorney Odai Ramischand. She is also the niece of Attorney General Anil Nandlall.
Reports out of Trinidad said that the teen was attacked near her mother’s salon in Maracas on Wednesday night. Her throat was slit and she was stabbed several times in the abdomen.
According to a report in the Trinidad Newsday, investigators believe the suspect was obsessed with Nikita, who rejected his marriage proposal a few weeks ago.
Newsday quoted Deputy Police Commissioner Mervyn Richardson as expressing optimism that the case would be solved, “since we know who killed Nikita and we know who we are searching for.” He said investigators expect to detain the suspect, whose last known address was Felicity in Central Trinidad.
According to the Trinidad media, Nikita, a second-year ACCA student of the School of Business and Computer Sciences (SBCS), worked at Casa de Belize, a salon her mother Shariza operated next to the family home at LP 46 Maracas Royal Road, Maracas, St Joseph.
She was supposed to attend to a client at the salon about 7 pm on Wednesday. Police believe that while walking to the salon, Nikita was ambushed by the suspect who dragged her behind the premises where he slit her throat and stabbed her in her abdomen. They believe that the killer used a kitchen knife.
The Newsday said that the victim’s mother told police that she did not hear any screams or any strange noises, but when Nikita failed to arrive at the salon she became suspicious and began calling her cell phone.
When the calls went unanswered, Shariza, her husband, Odai, their eldest son, Sid, and another brother and sisters began searching for Nikita.
They found her bloodied body behind the salon at about 8 pm.
Police believe the killer scaled a ten foot razor-edged wire fence, located on the northern side of the Ramischand family home, where he hid and waited for Nikita. Bloodstains were reportedly found on the fence.
Homicide officers were called in as well as District Medical Officer Dr. Richards who instructed that Nikita’s body be taken to the Forensic Science Centre, St. James for an autopsy which was done yesterday.
An autopsy, performed by pathologist Dr. Eastlyn McDonald-Burris, revealed that Nikita bled to death after her throat was slit. She also received six stab wounds to the abdomen.
According to the Trinidad Newsday, Sid, Nikita’s eldest brother, yesterday said Nikita was considered “the baby” of the family and lived a sheltered life.
He said that three months ago, his father hired construction workers to work on the property where they lived and it was there that Nikita met the suspect. He said the two spoke frequently on the phone and when the suspect asked Nikita to get married a few weeks ago, she refused.
The newspaper quoted the brother as saying that the suspect began making threatening phone calls to Nikita. Three weeks ago, the suspect scaled the razor-wire fence, entered the property and began threatening his sister.
It was only when Nikita said that she would call the police that the suspect left. Sid added that his sister started a new relationship and believes that this may have angered the suspect. He believes Nikita was being stalked.
He called on the police to find her killer.
“My sister was such a brilliant student who passed her exams with flying colours and we know she had a bright future ahead of her. But now that she has been snatched away from us, it seems like a bad nightmare but we are all trying to deal with this and we know that our love for each other will pull us through,” Sid told the Trinidad Newsday
Police officers returned to the murder scene yesterday and searched for clues. Nikita’s father, Odai, remained indoors. Members of the legal fraternity expressed their condolences to Odai and his family and senior police officers pledged to do everything to bring the killer to justice.
Odai, who was born in Guyana, has been practising law in Trinidad for decades.
Murder suspect hiding in Guyana forest
Homicide bureau officers said yesterday they were working with their Guyanese counterparts in trying to locate the suspect wanted for last week's murder of Nikita Ramischand, daughter of attorney Odai Ramischand.
According to a Guyanese news website, the suspect reportedly left Trinidad last week Thursday night aboard a Caribbean Airlines flight bound for Guyana. The site also said that the suspect is currently hiding out in a heavily forested area known as Sosedyke, which is east of the Demerara River.
Nikita Ramischand, 18, was found with her throat slit and with three stab wounds to her chest last week Wednesday night at her family's sprawling Maracas Royal Road, Maracas Valley, St Joseph home.
Her brother, Sid Ramischand, told the Express earlier that his sister would often speak to the suspect but when he began asking for her hand in marriage she called off their relationship. It is alleged that the suspect stalked her and threatened her when he found out that she had started a relationship with someone else.
Up to press time yesterday, calls to two cellular telephones of Odai Ramischand proved futile.
Guyana manhunt still on for Nikita’s killer
The search is still on for a 25-year-old Guyanese man who is the main suspect in the murder of 18-year-old Nikita Ramischand — the daughter of attorney Odai Ramischand.
On Wednesday night, the School of Business and Computer Science (SBCS) student was found dead with her throat slashed along a pathway behind the family’s Maracas Royal Road, Maracas Valley home.
The suspect in the killing is reported to have boarded a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight just a few hours later, at about 12.25 am on Thursday, and arrived in Guyana an hour later. His last known hideout was identified as East of the Demerara River in a place called Soesdyke. It is a fairly forested area inhabited by persons of the low income group.
Speaking to Sunday Newsday briefly yesterday, Odai Ramischand explained that while he had heard no further news on the case, he expected that the suspect would be held soon.
“I can say that the authorities in Guyana have met and a search has been organised for the individual, but I cannot say what is the outcome of that initiative at this time,” Ramischand explained.
Investigations are continuing.

I'D RATHER KILL MYSELF
The 25-YEAR-OLD Guyanese construction worker who is wanted in connection with the brutal murder of Nikita Ramischand, 18, daughter of prominent local attorney Odai Ramischand has threatened to kill himself rather than surrender to police.
The suspect fled to Guyana about five hours after he allegedly slit Nikita’s throat and stabbed her several times at her Maracas, St Joseph home last Wednesday. CCTV (closed-circuit television) footage at Piarco International Airport showed him in company with a cousin before he boarded a Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) flight to Guyana.
One of his hands was bandaged and police believe this was from an injury he sustained while scaling a ten foot high fence topped with razor wire after committing the murder.
Police investigators also confirmed yesterday that they have seized a knife they believe to be the murder weapon found in a discarded tyre at a river behind Nikita’s home. Police believe the killer washed away Nikita’s blood from his hands in the river.
Odai’s nephew — Guyana’s Attorney General Anil Nandlall is in Trinidad for today’s funeral service. “I hope the fugitive is brought to justice and in the quickest possible time,” Nandlall told Newsday. He confirmed being kept abreast of developments with respect to the manhunt in Guyana for the suspect.
Yesterday, Ramischand told Newsday that on Sunday at about 7 pm, the suspect telephoned Nikita’s mother Shariza and spoke with her for about 20 minutes. Ramischand said that the suspect strongly denied involvement in Nikita’s killing but added that he prefers to kill himself rather than surrender to police. “He told us that he won’t surrender and that he would rather kill himself.”
Ramischand said that the man was very emotional during the telephone conversation which was recorded by police. “Where he is I know that he is suffering and not able to even get some water or food to eat. It won’t be long before he is apprehended and brought to justice,” Ramischand said.
The well-known attorney praised local police whom he said have not only been professional in their investigations but also very supportive and sympathetic to his family.
Ramischand said since his daughter was murdered he has not slept properly and that yesterday was the first time he actually ate food after being virtually instructed to do so by his doctor.
“I don’t know how I will cope at the funeral service for my daughter. I hope to be strong for the sake of my wife and our five other children,” Ramischand said adding that he is filled with a mixture of emotions including anger, frustration, grief, hatred, venom and disappointment.
Yesterday, Deputy Police commissioner Mervyn Richardson confirmed that the Homicide Investigations Bureau is working closely with police in Guyana to apprehend the suspect and have him returned to Trinidad for questioning.
Guyana’s acting police commissioner Leroy Brummel yesterday told Newsday he is confident the suspect would be captured soon. He added that Immigration records showed the suspect (name called) whose alias is ‘Alan’, in fact arrived in Guyana.
“We believe the murder was premeditated but we have given the assurance to the Trinidad and Tobago police that we will get him,” Brummel said. Yesterday, Brummel was working closely with other senior police officers to issue a Wanted bulletin for the suspect who has already been named publicly in Guyanaese newspapers and radio.
Two local Homicide Investigations Bureau officers left Trinidad on a CAL flight at 12.25 am last Thursday and arrived in Guyana at 1.25 am. The suspect listed his mother’s address in Guyana as his destination when he left Trinidad. That address is Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara.
However, his mother has told Guyana police that her son never arrived at her home and she has not heard from or seen him.
However, police in Guyana obtained telephone records which indicated the suspect spoke with his mother from an unlisted number telling her he only learnt of the incident in the newspapers. The last time he spoke to her was on Saturday night.
Nikita, a second-year ACCA student of the School of Business and Computer Sciences (SBCS), worked at Casa de Belize, a salon her mother Shariza operated next to the family home at LP 46 Maracas Royal Road, Maracas, St Joseph.
Last Wednesday she was walking to her mother’s salon located inside the compound of her father’s sprawling mansion when police believe she was accosted by her killer who dragged her behind a guest house on the compound, slashed her throat and then stabbed her six times in the abdomen. She will be cremated today at Belgroves Funeral Home following a funeral service.

Another article made mention that the victim did not know the alleged perpetrator, but somehow the brother of the victim reports details surrounding a telephone love relationship and the victim forcefully cutting ties with someone she presumably did not know. If she did not know him as they claim, how were phone numbers exchanged and conversations entertained? How was stalking even a contemplation if the alleged perpetrator did not know the victim and the victim did not know the alleged perpetrator?
the girl young ah little sweet talk from a hustler cud work wonders to a sheltered and trusting person. just because yuh look like yuh want tuh sneeze and nobody wanna give u sweet talk doh mean that it doh work eh!!
Which begs of me to ask: was the victim entertaining a romantic relationship with this man unbeknownst to her family (excluding her elder brother) or led him on to the point of no return until he snapped?
So many questions remain. One thing is certain: the whole story is not being told.

Dad missed Nikita's distress call
Killer still on the run: victim laid to rest
Last rites: Shariza Ramischand, mother of Nikita Ramischand, touches her face while Nikita's father, attorney Odai Ramischand, looks on during the funeral service yesterday at the family's Maracas, St Joseph, home
MORE than 300 relatives, friends and schoolmates of Nikita Ramischand took cover below tents amid pouring rain yesterday to say their goodbyes to the 18-year-old who was killed almost a week ago.
Ramischand's killer remained on the run in Guyana up to press time last night.
The teenager's full name was hardly used yesterday as to everyone gathered she was known simply as Nikki.
Ramischand, a second-year accounts student of the School of Business and Computer Science (SBCS), was stabbed to death last week Wednesday night at the Maracas Valley, St Joseph, home of her father, attorney Odai Ramischand.
Her killer, a 27-year-old Guyanese national, reportedly left Trinidad aboard a Caribbean Airlines flight that night, nursing injuries he sustained when he jumped over a wall into the St Joseph river as he made good his escape.
The emotional scenes in Ramischand's funeral yesterday were many. Nikita's father, Odai, came close to tears as he spoke to the mourners about protecting their children.
His eyes appeared bloodshot and he looked exhausted.
He recalled that over the weekend he checked his cellphone and saw his daughter called him moments after she had been attacked. He said he did not answer her call that night as he was driving.
"When my daughter was in danger the first thing she did, almost as an instinct, was pressed her daddy's number," said Ramischand, whose voice cracked as he told the story.
"I did everything in power to protect my kids and it was that one unguarded moment and a criminal came and snatched my daughter away from me," he said.
"I just want to send a message to each and everyone of you parents here. What happened to my daughter can happen to you but those criminals must not bring pain to families," he said.
Nikita's brother, Siddhartha Ramischand, recited a poem he wrote for her, while one of her sister's, Samantha, recalled how close they were.
"Nikki, you meant the world to me. You were my therapist and best friend. You were the best company one can ever ask for. You were loving, caring, cheerful and supportive and you had so much planned for your life but despite our loss, despite you not being here, you will always be my little Nikki," said Samantha.
Nikita's uncle, Anil Nandlal, who is also Guyana's Attorney General and Legal Affairs Minister, spoke to reporters during the funeral. He said so far Guyanese authorities were unable to track down the suspect.
"The homes of his friends and relatives are being monitored and they have locked all exit points out of Guyana and he is blacklisted so he cannot travel," he said.
Speaking to reporters around 2.30 p.m. yesterday, Nandlal said, "I have just made contact with the Crime Chief in Guyana and they continue to have the police on patrol, looking and monitoring the places that he is likely to be. But unfortunately they have not been successful in the arrest but they continue to monitor the places they suspect he will show up."
Nandlal acknowledged, however, that Guyana "is a huge place with thousands of miles of un-monitored border with Venezuela, with Suriname, with Brazil".
"But I have every expectation that the police in Guyana will find him," he said.
Detectives from the Homicide Bureau in Trinidad have since gone to Guyana to assist their colleagues in finding the suspect.
Nikita, my heartbeat
ATTORNEY Odai Ramischand yesterday wept at the funeral service for his 18-year-old daughter Nikita, whom he tearfully described as “my heartbeat”. The service which was held at the Ramischand family home in Maracas, St Joseph was well-attended by family and friends including Odai’s nephew, Mohabir Anil Nandlall — Guyana’s Legal Affairs Minister and Attorney General.
Saying Nikita was his heartbeat, his diamond and his gold, Ramischand said he did everything in his power to protect his family.
“You can see where I live and you could see that I would have done every thing possible and that one unguarded moment my daughter left here...that criminal came and snatched away her life,” the crying father said.
He revealed that when his daughter was being attacked last week Wednesday, she tried calling him on his cell phone but he did not answer, as he was driving home at the time. “When she was grabbed her first instinct was to press her daddy’s number. Unfortunately I was driving and I could not answer her. It tells you the instinct...when my daughter was in danger, she pressed her daddy’s number,” he said.
He said no one could imagine how he feels but he hopes his daughter’s death could change the way people live in Trinidad. “Let my daughter send a message, that each of you parents here, the same danger resulting in the death of my daughter...your children could face. We must be determined to help each other so that criminals will no longer bring pain to families,” he said. Ramischand also praised the police service admitting he was surprised by the level of professionalism and dedication with which they have displayed in investigating his daughter’s murder.
“I am shocked at the amazing work of the police officers of this country. I can’t believe it,” he said.
Nandlall said despite the large size of Guyana, he is confident the killer of his 18-year-old cousin will be captured.
A 25-year-old Guyana man boarded a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight shortly after Nikita was murdered. He is believed to be hiding out in Guyana. Nikita was a second-year ACCA student at the School of Business and Computer Sciences (SBCS) and worked at Casa de Belize, the salon her mother Shariza operates next to the family home. It was outside this salon that Nikita’s throat was slit and she was stabbed last week Wednesday.
Nandlall said, while the Guyana police have been unable to find the suspect, they will continue their search as he has been blacklisted and would not be allowed to leave the country of his own free will.
“The homes of all of his relatives are being monitored. They have blocked all exit points out of Guyana and he has been blacklisted so he cannot travel,” Nandlall said. During his tribute to Nikita at the funeral, Nandlall said he remembered fond times pushing Nikita in a stroller when she was a toddler. Nandlall said whenever he visited his family in Trinidad, Nikita would be the first one to greet him. He said he was always prepared to attend Nikita’s wedding when that time came. Instead, he was in Trinidad to attend her funeral. Nikita was later cremated following the service.
Cops: There may be an accomplice
HOMICIDE officers probing the brutal murder of 18-year-old Nikita Ramischand now believe that the man who slit her throat and stabbed her, may have had an accomplice. Yesterday, investigators were tracing phone records of a 25-year-old Guyanese man, hoping to find local numbers which he called after committing the murder last week Wednesday.
Police have established thus far that the killer was staying somewhere in Felicity and may have disposed of his blood stained clothing at that location before boarding a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight to Guyana.
Newsday understands the phone records of the man indicate he was in constant contact with Nikita and even telephoned her shortly before she was killed. Police sources said they are trying to collect all necessary evidence to ensure a solid criminal case is built against the suspect who up to yesterday remained at large somewhere in his native Guyana.
Guyana’s acting Commissioner of Police Leroy Brummel said that all borders, ports of entry and the Cheddi Jagan International Airport are being closely monitored in case the suspect tries to leave the country, possibly for Suriname.
The last known place of hiding was listed as Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara. The suspect was staying illegally in Trinidad and secured employment at a construction site in the San Juan area.
According to sources the suspect not only did construction work for the Ramischand family but was also hired as a gardener and was well-known to members of the Ramischand family. Relatives said both he and Nikita exchanged phone numbers and they began having conversations on their cellphones. Relatives disclosed that the suspect proposed marriage to Nikita who refused and they believe this may have prompted his murderous intent.
Ramischand at daughter’s funeral: I feared it was only a matter of time
Attorney Odai Ramischand, left, makes a parting gesture to his daughter Nikita, at the funeral service at the Ramischand’s Maracas Valley, St Joseph home yesterday.
Attorney Odai Ramischand said he knew it was only a matter of time before crime would visit his family. Ramischand was addressing mourners yesterday at the funeral service for his daughter, Nikita. Nikita, 18, was stabbed to death at the family’s home at Maracas Royal Road in St Joseph last week Wednesday.
She was an accounts student at the School of Business and Computer Science (SBCS), Champs Fleurs. Homicide detectives believe she was killed by a jilted lover who is now hiding out in his homeland, Guyana. Ramischand gave the opening tribute at the family’s home.
“I went to Wales, Ireland, England and Scotland to look for a place to hide my children. I knew it was a matter of time. When you see families crying for their loved ones, let my daughter’s death serve a purpose. If you forget what I am begging you, it will reflect. Help your brothers and sisters,” he said.
Ramischand said he did everything within his control to protect his children. “Her life was snuffed out for no reason, and not a justified reason. I have advocated the justified cases, but the pastor who is trained will do that now.” Ramischand said her daughter dialled his number when she was being attacked.
“The day after, I saw a strange number on my phone. Apparently she pressed her daddy’s number instinctively (when she was dying),” he said. “If my daughter’s life is the price I have to pay, then she wouldn’t die in vain. We say we are our brother’s keeper. The same danger your children also face. We must be determined to help each other so the criminals must not bring pain,” he said.
Ramischand praised the investigation done by Homicide officers and urged mourners to help the police. Worldwide Full Gospel Ministries Pastor Andrew Ramjattan said the country should learn from Nikita’s death. “We are ravaged in his country by what we are experiencing. This is not an uncommon situation even with the 21st-century policing and everything in place.
“There are corrupted ones, but they do their best. Despite their efforts we hear about, we become indifferent to strategies until it hits home,” Ramjattan said. The eulogy was delivered by Nikita’s siblings.
