Why are you guys even talking about this thing about race gas and street tyres ? Are you taking it seriously... cuz I thought it was a joke ?
Street legal... no cages... no race harnesses... registered... inspected... INSURED... No slicks... who determines what is an MOT legal tyre ? Somebody needs to be there with a decibel meter too. If you just want no slicks because you want to save time/money by not laying down any rubber on the track...well say so. If you want no race gas because you don't want to have the proper fire services on hand due to fuel tanks/containers onsite.. well say so.
C'mon...
Why the people just can't hold a drag event without the pappy-show of force and determination ? Everything must be done in a farce of organisation.... leave the KFC-esque list of high-man rules to the Ministry of Transport and do what you ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING when a drag racing venus is available. Staging properly run, properly tech inspected drag racing events to the best of the venue's ability. Or give it to someone who can.
No one wants to pay first world money to follow third world rules.
