How expensive is expensive for this ceramic tint?

All my vehicles have suntek and they held up fine.

People still using single ply tint? 0.o (Not bashing any seller for this eh, just saying single ply is very cheap and customers should opt for something better. Cant vex with a businessman for stocking what people want)

Where sells the clear tint that keeps out the heat? And what type is it? Wanna do all my vehicles in that.

When you do go to court and tell the magistrate "which tint meter they use to allow you to end up in court"...

Case dismissed....

A simple tint law they can't get right

3cxc strikes again.

They not suposed to INSTRUCT u to remove tint, but give u a bligh to get rid of the infraction and to avoid the penalty.
Reasonable.
Problem is the 3cxc don't explain it well to the underlings, the underlings don't have the brain hp to figure it out, and think it's instruction.

Old law, new law, that is fair.

How d fax they can't get meters to work?

What ever happen to guy with the $12k ticket for tint a few years ago?

Makes sense to challenge any and every ticket in court.

LO have about 6 "hi tech meters " that would give you one reading and every other tint shop in the country have different meters giving different readings...

All they had to do was make every tint shop purchase a meter similar to that of license office and problem solved.

measuring devices need proper recalibration every so often esp if in the hands of third parties
this is the same problem they have with EMA and charging ppl for exceeding noise levels in fetes etc

I dont know why they can use a simple method like hold a sheet of paper with letters on the dash for the driver to read from a distance like what you do when you go to the optometrist

if the driver cant read it then hard luck, he need likely need glasses as well, take a second charge

Running dark tint years now #unaffected
If the laws are ever straightened out I’ll apply for an exemption as that was an option in the last incarnation

And that is the Trinidadian mentality we have that holds this country backwards.
Pot calling kettle black!
Flaunting rules which was meant to be followed.

Exactly, immoral isn't necessarily illegal - but try to do the right thing

I hoping my tint "bleach" out by then
Last time I tested vlt it was at 17% for the back windscreen and 16% on the rear doors
Those testing devices are +/- 3% usually.

Tint on the car almost 10yrs now

I dey sit down in my variety of fishbowls and everybody else under a 5% normal

Didn't here work out solutions already?
Let the ttbs offer calibration services for all tint shops, and the authorities would calibrate in line.

Trinidad has to make everything rocket science.

We have the most incompetent people in charge of the country

Lawless, wrong and strong, just like a typical trini.

Do better, MaxPower. Stop the wajang behaviour and have some discipline.

Alphie,

Call down, its only Tint and the sun is hot.

We have more items to focus on responsibility rather than these petty issues.

Thats as subjective as an officer's eye which the public kick against for years. The main problem with the legal aspect is square pegs in round holes

I have 35% all around with 70% on the windscreen, all Xpel nano ceramic. Car almost nearly untinted but the heat difference is very noticable

if the driver himself can’t read a regulation eye test paper from a certain distance then the onus is pretty obvious

Excellent choice.

Pricey though but worth it i guess.

It’s about $4k for complete vehicle by Techmotive.

It was in Techmotive self I went during the lockdown. It was exactly 4000 for the whole car inclusive old tint removal.

Can't complain, the service was excellent and the tint doing exactly what it supposed to do.
