THE file relating to a previous police investigation into the conduct of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Suzette Martin and three other officers in the Brent Thomas matter has reportedly gone missing.
Senior officers said Martin formally requested a copy of the file from lead investigator ACP Curt Simon but to date got no response.
On June 23, Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro instructed Simon to reopen an investigation against Martin and others based on a new complaint Thomas, a gun dealer, submitted on the CoP's first day in office on June 18.
A query sent to Simon via WhatsApp on June 29 seeking comment on the development was not acknowledged.

The case against Inspector Mark Hernandez, former head of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), has been dismissed by the High Court.
Inspector Hernandez was charged with misbehaviour in public office in connection with the alleged treatment of Andrew Morris and Joel Balcon, two suspects held during investigations into the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Andrea Bharatt in 2021. Both men later died while in police custody.
The charges arose amid public outcry and calls for accountability following the deaths of Morris and Balcon.
On Monday, following the High Court’s ruling, Inspector Hernandez’s legal team, led by attorney Gerald Ramdeen, held a press conference at the Hyatt Regency, where they welcomed the decision.
