The PM doesnt have to be physically in her office in this age of technology she can work from home ! Where were the same ppl when Rowley was in the golf course or in New York for his many health check ups.

Regarding WFH, people knew kamla would be working from and they voted for her, so go and ask the people who vote for her why they vote for her

There are now what - 25 Ministers, 6 Ministers in and 6 Parliamentary Secretaries. The Ministers, Ministers In and Parliamentary Secretaries who are not MPs would also have to be Senators. That means taking a Senator ship from someone who could add value in the Senate as well as paying them separately to be the Parl Sec.

Seems pretty wasteful no matter how you spin it.

Arima and Point Fortin hospital needed a new plan -> construction began in 2016 -> opened 2020-21
Sangre Grande hospital makeover -> beautiful hospital -> $850m -> very good design -> started 2019- finished 2024
POS hospital -> started 2021 - finishing 2026 -> no foul play in contracts
Covid relief -> $3-20bn
Improved ICT for schools -> digitizing education -> after covid
Curepe interchange -> $320m
Elmina Clarke-Allen highway -> $500m

No reason to open the Couva children's hospital.

Wendy Fitzwilliam children's hospital and San Fernando operate under 50%, not enough nurse staff to fill Couva, no technical expertise to operate a children's hospital.

Dr. Petronella Manning-Alleyne, Dr. Safeeya Mohammed and Dr. Marlon Timothy are the only neonatal specialists.

$570m burden on healthcare -> there is a burden, not that extravagant figure
$70m legal fees

Anything to stall the 10% they promised.

Some misleading statements here that needs much correction

The Arima Hospital was approved by Kamla in October 2013 where construction began in May 2015. With the government change, it was delayed and supposed to have finished in 2017. To Rowley's credit, construction continued and finished in 2020.

It was the same for the Point Fortin hospital, and if it wasn't for a legal threat from Vamed, construction would have stalled and residents of point fortin would have been struggling in the old Area colonial hospital. PNM stalling the project caused Vamed themselves to be in legal troubles with subcontractors. Construction continued and finished in 2020.

ICT in classrooms was mostly done by denominational schools. PNM was supposed to roll out TTWiFi nationwide, they only reach by bus stations and libraries. Took them only 9 years.

POS hospital... i thought it open? oh right, practical completion. In 2026? I thought it was July 2025? bwda...

About the Couva Children's Hospital, as I mentioned back in 2017:

"In terms of Forex, that was one of the mains points of the Couva Children's Hospital and also the National Oncology Centre. It was part of the diversification process into Health/Medical Tourism. When the hospital was completed, the next phase was for shopping malls, hotels and guest houses to be built nearby developing the Indian Trail and Basta Hall areas. It was also one of the reasons the Couva Interchange was done. Many from the Caribbean and North America would have been coming Trinidad seeking better healthcare. Off course our heathcare system needs an overhaul to accommodate Health/Medical Tourism.

Cayman Islands already in the lead. Cuba, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and Barbados are going full steam ahead. Jamaica is exploring the idea and putting things in place. We in trinidad playing politics."

Nothing said there was misleading.

With the government change it had to be delayed. Inflated medical equipment prices, exorbitant project cost, election rush as I stated before, correct approvals were not given thus the contract with Vamed needed to be suspended.

ICT is complex infrastructure, by no means an easy task.

I pushed back POS completion from July 2025 to anytime 2026 for obvious reasons.

"Of course our healthcare system needs an overhaul to accommodate Health/Medical Tourism". Need I say more?

Regarding those manifesto promises, the carnival museum has opened, steelpan in schools and manufacturing for export is already underway, other festivals got lots of support, most of diversification promises have been started, ease of business significantly improved in the manufacturing sector, niche products such as cocoa and scorpion pepper exports greatly increased to foreign markets, Vocational training boost to supply manufacturing sector and Pt Lisas been doing well, moving towards green energy is making good progress (electric and hybrid tax reductions and exemptions), T&TEC encouraged to support EV charging networks throughout Trinidad etc and etc.

Mr. Manning once said Trinidad & Tobago is a difficult country to govern.
