I think we are already moving on. The catch with Trinidadians is if you do all in one back to normal people will complain . If you change gradual they will complain still but have less ground to stand on with their arguments

Good afternoon colleagues, please note the following points from the meeting with the Minister of Education this morning:

1. All students and teachers will return physically to school next term.
2. Schools will revert to normal school hours, 8:30 to 3pm.
3. Entry protocols must be kept: hand washing, temperature checks and mask wearing.
4. Times for breaks and lunch must be staggered.
5. No whole school assemblies will take place
6. Restart of extra curricular activities can be done under strict supervision under recommendations from the MOH.
7. Monitoring of COVID-19 cases will continue.
8. The deviation from the school uniform will continue for next term under the guidance of principals.
9. No synchronous classes will be conducted once physical return is in effect.
10. Physical attendance is not a choice. If parents decide to keep children at home, they will be responsible for their education.

NAPSPA asked for the following:

1. CLEAR GUIDELINES for the reopening in a timely manner.
2. Furniture for Schools.
3. Repairs

4. Funding
5. Filling of vacancies
6. Implementation of SMS
7. Lack of other resources

The Misister indicated that the guidelines will be ready after the MOE meets with TTUTA

Yes. Will we be able to use it up given the short expiry of mrna vaccine is another issue. But their would be a lot of health conscious parents carrying their kids to be vaccinated in the first week especially since primary school is set to open back next month.
