In Jamaica, houses are built with loaded and unloaded cement blocks, not clay blocks. They are very aware of Hurricane forces and it looks like they may be starring down the barrel of two such systems

NHC in Florida has supercomputers running these things real-time 24/7 based on all the info from all sorts of satellites, weather buoys, hurricane hunters, etc. I think they have it right.

The peak of the hurricane season is actually this week which is why we seeing so many storms now
