Yes, it was announced in Tobago on Thursday in a publicity event that they were doubling their UPLINK speeds (but the 5Mbps uplink speed went to 15). They also announced these NEW channels on channels 1 and 2 of their line-up: http://www.looptt.com/content/digicel-p ... nd-catch-2

My digicel experience thus far.
Pros:
1. Digicel WiFi router is b/g/n/ac so its a faster than the flow for local networking.
2. Faster uplad speed, 15mbps
3. Multi screen so I could use my android box for another TV

Cons:
1. TV box interface is very slow.
2. Slower download speed for the price.
3. Some HD channels breaking up at times and picture freezing for less than a second.
4. They advertised 96 TV channels for the loud package but its 40 TV plus radio.
5. No free cloud storage after 3 months.
6. Technicians are lazy. The installation is crappy.

I will be disconnecting digicel and keeping my flow.

Note: The flow modem i currently use is the MOCA modem and to date no issues.

How could you have not known a contract was involved with Digi/Massy. It's been advertised for months now.

It is one of the redeeming factors of FLOW, that you can drop them anytime you wish.

Massy does NOT require a contract. Only Digi.

I think it is pretty simple to see that they will show up 3 and a half hours before your circuit goes faulty. ;-)

Digicel installer was very neat at my place, guy really took his time to hide the cables as best as he could.
System up and running! Internet is fast and speeds are what was advertised. I was paying for 35 dl with flow and only used to manage with around 12 dl plus their connection was always dropping.

TV is not bad few annoyances with the slow speed of the interface but I will get accustomed, also there is some distortion and lag to the picture mainly when the channel is changed but clears up in a second.

So far satisfied.
Flow getting canceled tomorrow!

i installed digicel this wee May 23rd 2016. full package phone tv and 25mb
kept my Flow connection 30mb
with same N router for each i connected and tested.

digicel- nothing more than 16 mb this week
digi tv quality was excellent , never used the digi landline.

flow was 15mb-30mb.

went to Play head office today to report issues as i was in the area.. waited 2 hours and got really shitty customer service.
Disconnected the Digicel service.

Digicel manager tried to reason with me and she she said "first persson to request service cancellation in less than a week"
told her flow may not be guaranteed 30mb but if i have an issue they respond quickly and and its 10years service with Flow/CWC/Liberty

You can change the distortion/lag in the picture after channel change. You can either have it do the intelligent 'smooth switching' that you are obviously seeing now, or I found that you can set to 'black screen', or 'last frame'. (Last frame of the OLD channel which you are leaving). It is a STB parameter. Press the 'home' button, to upper left of the OK. Then 'More', then 'smooth switch'/'last frame'/'blackout'.

16mb to where? Sounds like you were speedtesting to the LISA speedtest server.

Anyone has any information with regards to Digicel's infrastructure?

For IPv4 are they using CGNAT, where many customers are being NAT-ted behind a single IPv4 IP?
For IPv6 is their modem acting as a 6to4 device, where the devices on the local network have IPv4 addresses, with the WAN address being IPv6?

In this case, does this mean that port forwarding is not possible on Digicel's network? : This is a big deal for customers who want to access their camera systems while away from home.

I've been trying to contact digicel on these questions but,

1. Their tech support seems clueless
2. They are not responding to my emails

to digicel data center in chaguanas.
i understand that digicel can guarantee 25mb techncally all issues can be solved in time etc however the back inend support and customer service at the head office is ridiculous .... i rather endure the passport office or DP office than digicel yesterday

Proven you say! My experience with their customer service has been not as great as you make it out to be. They screwed up my online payments and refused to acknowledge them even though I had my receipts and their payment center acknowledged payment. they also threatened to send debt collectors. Six months ago the modem went kaput, they said the shortest time they could get a service tech out to my place was 3+ weeks they also said bringing int he box to their office was not an option (couldn't figure out why). Oh and they did bill me for the time my internet and phone was down ... was real running around to get them to remove the charges.

TBH I expect no less from the customer service at Digi (we do live in Trinidad) but at least their internet works and the price is better. With flow had to reset the modem at least twice a day and the connection kept degrading slowly as the day went on.
