Agreed, there's no point. Erla has only 3 or so months remaining on her contract and since the Police Service Commission is the only body that can remove her, then on what grounds? Same information that the DPP has who was like nah... try again? Yeah she was arrested but now released with no charges laid.

Rowley and the cabinet can't say now they lost confidence in her because they were supporting her all the time, 600+ murders and all.

Unless there is a resignation or the commission revokes her appointment, Erla not going anywhere until May. I'm guessing to gather as much info as possible on her attempted removal and to keep her retirement benefits intact.

GARY GRIFFITH: WRONG THEN, WRONG NOW

Gary Griffith is just embarrassed because he was speaking improperly on the matter. The issue under investigation was never about civilian vs. non-civilian firearm ownership…. it’s about whether the firearm was PROPERLY PROCURED and AUTHORIZED.

Yet, in the audio I shared, Griffith misled his audience by misstating the law and focusing on irrelevant arguments instead of the real legal issues. See it below.

1. Civilian vs. Non-Civilian is a Distraction (IRRELEVANT)

Griffith keeps harping on whether the firearm was issued to a civilian agency, but this doesn’t matter under the Firearms Act.

What matters is:

•Was the firearm prohibited under Chap. 16:01?
•Was the license lawfully issued?
•Was there any misconduct in the approval process?
•Was the procurement done properly?

2. The Firearm is Not Prohibited

The AX Sniper Rifle is bolt-action, not automatic, meaning it is not a prohibited weapon unless specifically classified as such by the Minister of National Security. Griffith falsely claims the weapon was inherently illegal—that is simply wrong.

3. The Commissioner of Police Had the Authority to Issue the License

The CoP has full legal authority to issue FULs for non-prohibited firearms, provided proper procedures were followed. If the licensing was lawful, there is no breach of the Firearms Act.

4. Procurement & Authorization is the Real Issue

The only real legal concern is whether the firearm was obtained and issued properly. If there was fraud or misrepresentation in the application process, that’s where the investigation should focus—not on a fabricated civilian vs. non-civilian debate.

5. Griffith is Wrong About the SSA Too

To make things worse, Griffith also falsely claimed the SSA is a civilian body… IT IS NOT. The SSA operates under intelligence and law enforcement mandates, meaning his argument is not only LEGALLY BASELESS but completely irrelevant to the case at hand.

READ THE DAMN LAW BEFORE SPEAKING

If Griffith actually read the Firearms Act, he’d realize he’s wrong on both counts—wrong on the firearm, and wrong on the SSA. That’s also why perhaps Erla is currently walking out with NO CHARGES yet laid despite his very WRONG understanding.
His only consistency is how often he’s incorrect.

Friend of mine had cops throw a firearm in his vehicle and arrested him for possession of an illegal firearm. He eventually got off and was not convicted and nothing happened to those cops after. Was about 15 years ago
