I can believe this since the men I know working PT are constantly changing their rotation and working really long/odd hrs..all due to x,y or z not coming out, training, sick.

Post Strike-the Union should be more communicative with verifiable facts.

OWTU is now being made the REASON that PT needs to be transformed....thats not entirely true....mostly not true.

I feel like we watching the biggest transfer of wealth in our history away from the people into private hands

Out of 3800 permanent employees how many could be in management? Who does Roget represent? In whose best interest is it to him to side with? The problem is that the union is overly anti-management.This, coupled with the company's inefficiency, negligence (WGTL, SAMSUNG) and corruption have doomed PT.

I just saw this.

Historically the political padding takes place in management.last rounds they got contracts that were air tight.

Put a sheethong on a rig...they will kil some one .
So the mid management,hr,admin, etc is a safe spot to put someone where they get paid for nothing.

Jupiter quits as Petrotrin chairman

PROF Andrew Jupiter, chairman of State energy company Petrotrin, has resigned.

He submitted his resignation last Friday but it will take effect from July 31.

Energy Minister Franklin Khan confirmed Jupiter's resignation to the Sunday Express, saying he cited “personal reasons” for his decision to depart the organisation after a tenure which lasted a little under two years.

Jupiter remains the deputy chairman of the National Gas Company (NGC).

He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Energy which is chaired by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

Khan said yesterday Cabinet will have to decide on Jupiter's replacement.

The Sunday Express was unable to reach Jupiter for comment.

I mean he already has all the inside information, so he knows what cuts the company is going to make. So to avoid his name getting called up in all kinda crap he just leave...

Agreed. Never saw so many managers, deputy managers etc. But Roget seems to think that PT troubles will disappear with trimming management positions alone.

Also many of them are blocking stuff from happening....clearing log jams will be good too.

There are plenty people that are politically motivated in there.

Yep Lock Stock and Barrel.

Apparently Management at Petrotrin are trying to force certain contracts passed the board, ambush tactics and such.

Defying logic

It's a false rumor.

But I was hoping not...due to the instability a mass resignation would imply.

But the weekend is young.
