i like this brathwaite fella....i like how his 100 is more than 150 balls in a test match
it shows he has the mental strength to bat long and wait for the runs....
i feel he and chanders will suffer those bowlers tmr!

my plan would be to bat conserative till about lunch and have NZ toil in the sun....then speed it up after lunch till around the end of the day and aim for a 300-310 before sending NZ to bat with about 10overs before the end of tmr

in other news---anyone saw the scores from the India/ Bang ODI---man get 6 for 4 runs yes

2.43 pm West Indies looked set to win this by an innings, were made to stretch, but they have still managed the next best thing - they win this by 10 wickets.

New Zealand 221 & 331
West Indies 460 & 95/0 (13.2 ov)

West Indies won by 10 wickets West Indies looked set to win this by an innings, were made to stretch, but they have still managed the next best thing - they win this by 10 wickets. There was a lengthy break before the innings started and West Indies might have had their eyes up towards the skies - it looked like the world was conspiring against them - but Gayle was not letting this one go and used his T20 avatar to bring the match to a quick finish. Take out New Zealand's fight over the last 24 hours, courtesy of BJ Watling and Mark Craig, and there was not much West Indies did wrong. They restricted New Zealand to a below avg total in the first innings, took a massive lead with Kraigg Brathwaite and Darren Bravo scoring hundreds, then toiling hard over two days - that last bit just made it sweeter. West Indies go to Barbados 1-1 in the series.
Bharath Seervi: "Last time West Indies won a test by 10 wickets against top 8 teams (except Ban & Zim) was vs India at Bridgetown in May 2002."
Don: "Best T20 innings by Gayle so far this year."

As I sed Gayle either scores or get out...he is not good defending. Very entertaining. He should play like that regardless of the situation. History will show that he is no good defending.
