great showing so far by a not yet at full strength Barca.

really want to see them playing less tiki taka and making some fast paced breaks on the wings though

happy 2014/2015 guys
After the game yesterday, i must say that we have as strong a team on the pitch as i've see in years, the back line still not as strong but who cares when you have two attacking lines moving forward. We have depth on the bench as well for most positions, everyman must play for his spot now, this is going to be an exciting season and i expect in the next 3 years of so mush we will once again be kings of Europe.

Easy win despite going down to 10.

Read somewhere we signed Douglas (Alves replacement?) from Sao Paulo, its just to announce him now. Not satisfied with the back line, but I'm guessing we didn't sign "great" center backs cuz we don't want Bartra to get demoralized. At least this way he gets some minutes. Rakitic looked good tho. Adds a little more size to the midfield as well.

Initial agreement for Douglas Pereira

Image

FC Barcelona and São Paulo FC have reached an initial agreement for the transfer of Douglas Pereira.

The deal will cost Barça four million Euros with performance variables of another one and a half million based on games blocks.

Douglas will travel to Barcelona for a medical at the end of this week, when he will also put pen to paper on a five year deal and be officially presented as the Club’s latest summer signing.

Experienced wing back

The 24-year-old Douglas is a pacey right wing back who after three seasons, 75 appearances and five goals for his home town club of Goiás signed for Sao Paolo in 2012 .

Over the last three seasons, Douglas has played 95 matches for Sao Paolo and scored four goals.

Luis Enrique giving the youth members a chance and so far he is on point with Munir etc, also provides for better squad rotation....will be an interesting season.

They didn't play badly, Bilbao got lucky on several occasion, Munir's Offside goal could of went both ways IMO. As usual there were some scary moments in the back line but thats football.

Good Game!!

I thought it was a solid performance against a team who were content to play in a 5-5 and 6-4 formation at times. Let's not forget, we just finished the international break, and these are the fixtures we tend to drop points.

Not thrilled by performances, but I've seen us play far worse. There seems to be an extra fire and purpose last couple games. Hope it continues.

Love seeing how players not afraid to take shots from outside the box now. I'm really optimistic about this season.

Neymar looks like he actually wants to be on the team; diverse midfield, shooters, manager taking risks, less stress on Messi + the god #1 striker touching in next month.
