i have one of those 3.5 ton ford racing jacks, the wheels are Hard to push around even after servicing but damn its good, i lifting up those 3.2 ford rangers with ease.

tool house duncan village have a nice aluminum 3 ton unit, wow its nice. we have a few in work and they jack up 4 cars everyday, smooth wheels and easy to lift and transport, i def needs one, i does be toating my jack all over.

i have d variable speed model to it which iirc paid 130 or was it 140 , decent machine for d price , wished i bought it with d plunge base combo offer they had

i also own d porter cable 895pk combo , overall its nicer than d dewalt .....

if is 1 ting i have enough of is drills , ranging from SDS max to lil 3v screw gun dril , i sure is about a dozen i have , dont own any lithium 18v hammer but what i have for concrete in corded is more than good

i just say its a nice article to post up for somebody who really needs a good drill or 2 .... they really come a long way from what was available 10yrs ago

more torque and rpm control, 110v just cant compete

Wow I had one cordless for around the home around 10 years ago but I found it was so weak that I decided to never go back to them and the battery was never that great but I guess I can go back to trying them now

I tend to agree. You can't beat the convenience, there's plenty of power for drilling, adjustable clutches for screws, and the recharge time is fast.

All of the major brands offer very good tools now. For something big, I prefer a cord. But for anything else or when water is a factor, I just go cordless.

^Yup. Took the plunge about a month ago and bought a Bosch 12v combo with drill/driver, impact driver and two batteries.

The drill/driver along with a box of bits lives on my work table now. Haven't had to break out the corded monster once...

the next market they are moving to is the bigger hammer drills, sds plus/max

But in the 250US price range.
Even have vacuum attachments for dust.

You can cut a drill bit with a grinder.

Tactix and Ingco are both value brands from China. You can probably buy a masonry drill bit set from either of them for about the same price locally at various hardwares. L&DG may even carry them.

Makita is another brand to look for. They have manufacturing in China, also. Makita doesn't do as much advertising as some peers but their power tools and accessories tend to work well, last long and have fair prices.

Is there anywhere in south that would rent a small table saw so that I can trim and square off the ends ?

For about the same cost as a rental, you could also consider purchasing a manual miter saw and box. For the 10 or 12 cuts you may need, it may be faster and easier than lugging a power saw to your home and back.
