TriniTuner Mobile App - Support & Comments UPDATED!!!

dont think this was an app related issue. i think that google dns servers may be used by phpbb and google detected large amounts of suspicious activity occuring on our local networks today. i suspect it is the facebook spam that has been going around today and yesterday. all who clicked it would have contributed to a buildup suspicious activity. so google dns defense was activated forcing all those on relevant subnets to prove theyre not a bot by entering a captcha code.

switching dns servers fixed the problem immediately for me. didnt realize this thread was going with the complaints. was looking out for a new thread.

u mean from phpbb settings? did u enable it for a test or something? or was it always on?

no CAPTCHA was always there.

Last night we enabled a security service that inadvertently made all users appear to have similar IP addresses. This would trigger the spambot prevention methods, one of which is CAPTCHA. This has now been disabled so everyone can log in.

The reason it appeared that you switched DNS and it worked may be because coincidentally we turned off CAPTCHA around the same time you switched your DNS.

Regarding your claim that phpbb uses Google DNS: phpbb is installed by the end user and will use whichever DNS their server has. Phpbb is not a central server type service.

well i was experiencing the problem on other websites as well. i also had to switch my dns servers on my pc to be able to connect to them again. that's why i lean to it being an isp subnets issue. maybe switching dns servers was done around the same time u removed the captcha as u stated. but while i was logged in on my fone i was still getting a captcha screen on my pc web browser, until i changed my dns servers to match. then my web access freed up once more.

it usually takes a lil while for the web browser cache to clear.

In any case it's always a good idea to always use Google's Public DNS.

Still has the 5 pop up problem when accessing the site via in-app browsers as well as on an iPad (though that one was running iOS 7 (not sure if that had any affect))

^ iOS 7 update coming soon

we would have rolled it out since last week but we are also trying to roll out a major update / overhaul of the app (a version 2) so we decided to do both at the same time since the app continued to be fairly stable on iOS 7 as is.

however the crash / freeze for that thread is more than likely due to the stupid long post made by wagonrunner

Hopefully in a week or two we will have version 2 out with iOS 7 support. I am testing it now and it opens that topic with no problems.

BTW the annoying popups when using a mobile browser should have stopped now

no TriniTuner App for Windows Phone just yet. However you can access TriniTuner via the Tapatalk app on your Windows Phone.

what device are you using? what is the error or problem that is preventing you from posting photos?
give some details on what you do and what happens.

If i upload one pic and post it i have to completely clost the app and clear it from running before it will let me post another pic else it would say that i have to login to post the pic
