I cannot see how this would affect unlocking.
Once you use the correct mep for that particular phone you should be fine....

The MEP is not the same for all phones

I did it when I had a SIM that was on the free trial, I have an Android device though and it worked well, 142MB gone in 15 minutes, a few speed tests and stream a 1080p youtube video all for testing

i got the text. promptly put sim in half working iPhone 3g. good speeds so far....but the iPhone 3g itself is not a fast phone running 4.2.1

iPhone 4, no data packages on my phone.
I will try and take out the sim card completely instead of just restarting the phone.

4Mbps around the airport. 2Mbps St Helena. 512k going to wards Las Lomas area. sometimes dip to 300k. Signal there is very low . Mostly bush and empty land there

Since everyone is asking for it pricing as follows:

I would imagine that postpaid pricing is very similar.

where did you get these prices from? What the price for unlimited.

This seems correct. Friend who works digi told me he getting free 400MB per month since he is a worker. So I believe this info here is correct.

And there wont be unlimited as far as I understand.

TSTT has a very good chance now at competing with Digicel with their EDGE. Most will still take edge over 4G because you can't do anything with 400MB for $199. All you can do is use BBM or wattsapp. Maybe check some emails or browse a website now and then.

You can already do this comfortably with EDGE. Must wait for september when TSTT introduces HSPA+ and then perhaps we will see strong competition.

With a blackberry, 400MB is quite a lot, even with a lot of youtube you may not even use that much within a month. You may need a 2G plan if you have an iPhone or Samsung.

Yeah so i took the one day pass yesterday to try it out in work. Told my boss I real hungry and I hadda get something in the shop quick if he would let me so he say ok then fix up nah make it fast. LOL mind you is Digicel I gone eh lol

That network loads trinituner so fast compared to that EDGE i had from TSTT. No such thing as waiting. I show some co workers it and they real impressed.

What is sucking the bandwidth is youtube. I will look on android market for maybe something to force videos into low quality all the time. For the most part, many videos streamed in tiny footage and low quality which was actually pretty good looking considering they only used 2MB for 5 minutes of video.

Judging from this I have decided on the 2GB plan. Cause just $35 more for an extra GB compared to if I was to take the 1GB

Plus I hear you can pay $50 or something so to add another 1GB if that ain't enough for me.

$285 is a bit on the pricey side since people on tuner doing the free bmobile edge hack thing for one time fee of $200. But for this speed and reliability I would pay that $285.

Besides competition coming end of the year anyways. Not like we go pay these prices for ever. Good for now.

BTW if i buy a Digi $500 phone card what kinda extra bonus do I get with that? I am even considering the 4GB plan also. Depending on my video needs.
