Chinese work on an up the ladder system. They have their own sort of bank and society . They will not borrow from banks.

All those bussiness have to pay a percentage to the society. One group of people collect the monies and it is then converted and shipped away.

These bussiness are all owned by the society and the people running it are just workers. Their goal is to work off the debt that the society paid for them to come here. Once that is worked off then they look to head to the USA or Canada and the cycle starts over agian.

Chinese will often sell thier own families to pay off debt.

Nobody saying that persons cannot earn $1M from hard work and savings under the mattress. The problem is the tax returns and how they are declaring their income. Customers pay in cash, no paper trail, so they don't have to declare that income and thus pay less tax than the real income figure. Most of Trinidad businesses are like this because we are so backward. GP doctors take $200 to $300 cash per patient visit. Half of that is likely not declared. Officially the government would have a problem with this practice, but it's their fault that they don't have a system in place to keep proper checks on income.
